Somewhere out there beyond the limits
There's a story being told, he's in it
He's still moving, he's still able
To lay some old magic on the table

Ten years gone, so long
Ten years gone

His boots are muddy, his eyes are crazy
He's like somebody setting blazes
Still got the courage of his convictions
But these days they just cover for his addictions

Ten years gone, so long
Ten years gone

Dressed all in denim, still looking funky
He stole this maxim from a junkie
To flee from horror bury yourself in it
Yeah, he's out there somewhere beyond the limit

Ten years gone, so long
Ten years gone, so long, so long

Somewhere out there beyond the limits, man, there's a story being told, a movie being made and he's in it, man. He's still moving, he's still grooving, he's still able somehow to bring some of that old magic to the table

Ten years gone
Ten years gone
So long, so long, so long (so long gone)
(So long gone)
Ten years gone
Ten years gone
(So long gone)
Ten years gone
(So long gone)

I bought this record because I am a HUGE Waterboys fan... from the very first record...this song by far is the most "Waterboys-ish" song on this record.

I am sorry to say this but this record was a huge disappointment...played it once in it's entirety and have never felt the urge to play again...Sorry Mike...but I just didn't get it...but keep making new music Mike...your band is pure joy to me.

Interesting to read this. Also liked them since the big music days and quite like this- 7 for now. Not got the album yet - will hold off and listen on Spotify first...
