Don't worry for me
Well I'm all right
Lord knows I"m having,
A natural good time,
Pocket full of money
Gonna boogie all night;
There ain't nobody tell me that's crime

When morning comes and it's time to go
Pony boy carry me home
Pony boy carry me home.

All right mama,
Let me see you do that thing now

Band is jumping and so am I.
I'm just groovin', can't stop movin',
My ole man's got that ole eagle eye
But he is just waitin', we're celebratin'

When morning comes and it's time to go
Pony boy carry me home
Pony boy carry me home.

I feel a change coming on
Come on, mama!
Here it comes now
Papa's with you now;

Look out the door,
There beside that tree.
Well, that's my pony, looking after me,
Front feet doing the shuffle
Back feet, too.
Blow them good old Georgia blues.

When morning comes and it's time to go
Pony boy carry me home
Pony boy carry me home.

Wow, long time no hear. Thanks Bill!
Too early to start drinkin', but very boppable
To me, this is an example of something I feel more and more over time.  Older artists created a much broader catalog of quality songs.  There are some fantastic songs I never heard before...because there were other great songs that were more popular.

Musicianship and larger groups are why I think that's possibly the case?  Good stuff!

which greaser would you be? I got ponyboy!!! yay he's my favorite and we literally act the same

The same idea popped into my head.
Know he played him in the movie, but I don't picture C. Thomas Howell when I imagine what Ponyboy looked like.
Such a happy song from a band wracked with tragedy.
Great song/album! Thx Bill!

Where else could you get Talking Heads and Allman Brothers back to back?

Thanks, RP!

I know what you mean!  Although my local "classic rock" FM station does play both, and I'm sure on occasion TH and AB is back 2 back...not these tracks though...probably Psycho Killer followed by Whipping Post.

And FOR SURE my FM station WOULD NEVER play Bottle Rockets' "Idiot's Revenge" after those two LOL

Long Live RP!

This is All Richard Forrest Betts
I forgot how much Led Zeppelin sounded like them! Some awesome old southern-style rockin' guitar music here, y'all... Georgia Blues
Stay Golden Pony Boy!

Very catchy!
Such a great album, even without the awesomeness of Duane.
Thanks for playing this deeper track.
(note; 1973, not '87)
Kiddee-yap dude, woo hoooo
love the feel of this tune
Avoiding DUI by riding a horse seems like a pretty good plan if you can swing it.
This is a might fine album (like Eat a Peach) and Dickey Betts really takes over.
Do It DICKEY!
