**Not a band of animals**

They are a London based quintet who conjure a passionate, introspective and powerful sound, that draws from their shared love for jazz and electronica. Led by saxophonist/clarinetist Adrien Cau and drummer/producer Benoît Parmentier, their influences range from Flying Lotus, Bonobo, Portico Quartet and Snarky Puppy.

Their tracks blend whirling synths with warm saxophones and a percussive fusion of real drums and electronic samples. The result is a form of ambient, electronic Jazz akin to that of Floating Points and many of Gondwana Records’ affiliates. However, the idiosyncratic instrumental timbres and evocative melodic lines evident in the works of Kinkajous, set them apart as one of the most distinct and intriguing Jazz collectives around.

Notable performances in the UK and Europe include Bluedot Festival, sell out shows at London’s Jazz Cafe, Manchester Jazz Festival, Jazz Re:Found, Jazz Re:Freshed, EFG London Jazz Festival, Secret Garden Party.
