I'm gonna fight 'em all
A seven nation army couldn't hold me back
They're gonna rip it off
Taking their time right behind my back

And I'm talking to myself at night
Because I can't forget
Back and forth through my mind
Behind a cigarette
And the message coming from my eyes
Says "Leave it alone"

Don't want to hear about it
Every single one's got a story to tell
Everyone knows about it
From the Queen of England to the hounds of hell

And if I catch it coming back my way
I'm gonna serve it to you
And that ain't what you want to hear
But that's what I'll do
And the feeling coming from my bones
Says "Find a home"

And the feeling coming from my bones
Says "Find a home"

I'm going to Uppsala
Far from this opera for evermore
I'm gonna work the straw
Make the sweat drip out of every pore
And I'm bleeding, and I'm bleeding, and I'm bleeding
Right before the Lord
All the words are gonna bleed from me
And I will think no more

And the stains coming from my blood
Tell me "Go back home"

The kind of cultural fusion you expect when they are counting the Eurovision votes.

Yeah? Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
gets me in the mood to plunder and pillage
This could be inspiration for one of those old RatherGood kitten videos.
Just as good as the original, and I love the original!
So awful.

I'm with Sofia on this. Simon can get stuffed.

"Simon can get stuffed."

Way too funny!
alot of mixed reviews on this one...i think JW loves it...seems like they're just having fun..a solid 9
An interesting take!

This is super weird. I love it. I lol'd at replacing Wichita with Uppsala. :)

I prefer to imagine vikings going to Wichita.
Viking Ship GIF - Viking Ship - Discover & Share GIFs
What a feckin' brilliant and disturbing cover, and the band is soooo RP. Scando-Gallic folk. That is seriously different :o)
Opinion alert: Shite, pure shite...!
Maybe amusing the 1st time around, but not worthy of the airplay it receives here IMHO...
Please stop it RP... Please?

Maybe we should play the Radiohead version for you...

This works for me.
hahahaha
.....................I hate this

Always thought this sounded like a Viking raiding party song. Can just see the warships rowing into port belting this out. hah

Strange that I should feel slightly embarassed to be enjoying this. OK so there's a element of pantomime about it, but then music is entertainment after all.... We love your broad church Bill & Rebecca!

Had to increase this to a 10 from a 6 because Vikings are doing this
I love me a wildly reimagined cover!

Uppsala must be lovely this time of year

It's still a big fat no

Don't you mean NØ?

Deep throat vocals would sound better.
...well i quite liked it myself, on first hearing at any rate.
Used to do a cover of this with my old band. It was fun to play.

What 'genre' would that be?
It's still a big fat no
10.  We need more Vikings these days.

An 8 from me.  The chanting, keening in the background, a thick bass drum, and God knows what all else getting thumped ... Vikings!
The cover looks like my river raiding crew from Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
A decent cover.
Yeah....I'm probably a little too hillbilly for this, but to each his own.

To each your own.  A 7 from me - like many others.
PSD is always available!

This is unnecessary.
Sung by real Vikings as it was meant to be. Love it!
Make it stopppppppp!
Thanks but no thanks.
It's seems I'm in the minority about this cut.  The Viking Chant element works for me, gave it an 8.
I don´t like Cover-Songs. It´s just plain boring. 2 at max.
This would've been better if they'd been from Greenland.

Better than the other cover.

Which "other cover"? I'll bet there is more than one, and I've heard at least one that I like more than this.

And if you like it you could also give "Heilung" a try. Very atmospheric.
oh.
not my type of music. But funny cover.
Better than the other cover.

"I'm going to Uppsala".

Hilarious
LIke the female lead voice on this cover version.
Must say I prefer the Ben 'Ocle (sp) version better.
Going with a 6 rating on my listen of this one.

Anything suggesting Monty Python gets a vote from me. 😀

Not working for me. The original is so much better.
The only thing worse than The White Stripes is someone covering The White Stripes.
got to admire their dedication to  the...  ahem "genre".
Kinda cool, a solid 8 i think.  Better then Ben l'Oncle Soul's version....but Jack still wins!
This is why I love RP. I don't really care for this cover, but if you don't know what you don't like, how will you know what you *do* like?

You do you, BillG!

And the message coming from my EARS
Says "Leave it alone"

OMG
Made me look.
It sucks, but I like the song (and artist) please no
Amusing....
