I'd never danced
Till I danced with you my love
Couldn't hear the music
But I'm sure it was good stuff
I'd never sang
With a tear falling from my eye
And every time I lose it
Oh and I'm not afraid to cry
I'd never spoke
To one like you before
Told you all my secrets
And you wanted more
I'd never looked
Into eyes as clear as yours
And every time I lose it
Nothing matters more
Oh don't look now
If the superstition's got you down
There's no right way
To get back to a heart, oh Lord
Don't you worry 'bout how
But I got it all figured out
They can take my name and take my fame
Lavender girl, take me back to the start
Oh don't look now
If the superstition's got you down
There's no right way
To get back to a heart, oh Lord
Don't you worry 'bout how
But I got it all figured out

Maybe one of the last musical things we need is another band of string strumming male folkie vocalists like Fleet Foxes. On the other hand, this is quite tuneful. Wistful happiness. I like it.
Solid 6. But probably going to move up…
I like it! Nice vibe
Has a very '70's vibe to it... cool.

Another first for me here on RP.
An almost old school love song, a rare thing, a love song (that seems to be) about a man in love, not one tortured by lack of it. Eels-y, Neil Young-y, sweet melody and lyrics. I look forward to the time I hear it again.

Raised my rating from 7 up to 8 at second listen. A very nice tune. Thank you Alannah and William!

Not quite as irritating.
Vocals sound very Ray LaMontagne ish.
Not quite as irritating.
Yes; the huskiness of Ray L and Mark E is here -- but I also enjoy the Cat Stevens-like earnestness and folksy rhythms, too.

Going with a 6 on first listen, but I sense there is a possibility of increasing my rating in the future.
The older version of an Eels song ;)
I like it! Solid 8.
