When I wake up in the morning light
Sunlight hurts my eyes
Something without warning, love
Plays heavy on my mind

Then I look at you [x5]
And the world's alright with me

Oh just one look at you [x3]
And I know it's gonna be
A lovely day
On the night line
For the night line

When the day that lies ahead of me
Seems impossible to face
When someone else instead of me
Always seems to know the way

Then I look at you
And the world's alright with me

Just one look at you
And I know it's gonna be
A lovely day
On the night line
For the night line

No. Does not work.
Hm. I like Alt-J, and I looooooove Bill Withers, but I don't know if I can swallow this.
One thing I find about alt-j is that this a,bum as songs that please and some that grate my years. Gotta love that!
Cool.
Wait - what? Pleasant enough Alt-J song rolling along, I’ve got my nose off in a spreadsheet, and suddenly there’s Bill W there, knocking at the door to my brain - “Pssst - hey, you in there - you hear me? Stop that. ‘It’s gonna be a lovely day.’” Well, if they say so - I’ll take that option versus the one I woke up anticipating! Thanks, fellas.
Well it's hard to kill a great song.

He gave it his best.

Alt J music should come with whatever drugs he's on.
Always a Bill Withers fan - really think I prefer this cover this morning. Different mood
Edit:
Nope. I am still big on Bill Withers - but I used to think the background verse was "down the drain"...put a different twist on the lyrics
Nice to see some other tracks emerge from this great album (and great segue from Air just before Bill!)
