Who are you gonna spend your dark Sunday with
Or will you wait alone as your dark thoughts unfold
Will it feel like the end when no one understands?
What will set free from your dark Sunday dream?

Grey clouds in the sky
Dead leaves on the ground
A new world to discover when Dark Sunday comes around
The rivers in your eyes
Run down into the light
A new world waiting for you on the other side

What colors will you see in your Dark Sunday Dream
Will they all be black and white when the sadness does arrive?
Some days you feel like your on top of the world you feel like nothing at all could ever drag your heart down
And then you’ll wake and feel so cold inside your bones, so far from being found

now what, what will set us free
from this dark sunday dream
what will set us free
I know you’re not where you want to be
And sometimes life can seem
like one long dark sunday dream

Grey clouds in the sky
Dead leaves on the ground
A new world to discover when dark Sunday comes around
The rivers in your eyes
Run down into the light
A new world waiting for you on the other side

"Hand me the gin and razorblades please" starts out very dark but ends up cheerful and hopeful.

The Rivers in your eye,
Run down to the Light
A new World waiting for you
On the Other Side...

(Sounds like they went through with it, or are tempted to follow through.)
Just sayin, not so cheerful, unless you see that sort of option as a Good Ending.
Which can be - in some peoples Lives.

There is a bunch of young female vocalists who make pretty good songs but to my ear they all sound more or less the same.

Curious, do you also have difficulty discerning young male vocalists?  Yes, RP will help you mature your ear and your musical palate!  There's a diverse world of music in here!

That made me properly lol after all the sombre comments above!
Very compelling lyric and lovely arrangement. I'm surprised to learn she's not Scandinavian given the picture she paints.
I live In NZ and have never heard of  this excellent artist. NZ commercial radio is absolutely rubbish.

I was thinking there's a bit of an Agnes Obel vibe.
Her voice reminds of Julie Miller but without the twang.

Straight or engineered vocals? Straight with a touch of reverb. Twisted not stirred.

Soundtracky...
I don't like the colour of her bathwater.  Something's not right, there...

I don't think I'd get in there after her.

Great song, by the way...
From her forthcoming album "Nursery Rhymes for the Mentally Malnourished." Make this stop.
Feels like it was made for a movie soundtrack.
Straight or engineered vocals?
A nice enough song, but will we never got shot of the breathy little girl voice?

Nothing for people suffering pain in their back
Sounds like the person won't get up anymore , should we call for help?
Nice to see a Kiwi on the playlist :o)

Has a lovely childlike quality to it.

This is beautiful. Play over and over.
This is a cool track. I have heard it a number of times and it stands up to repeated listening - revealing new things. Strong lyric, too.
First time hearing this and I'm digging it. I like the whispery voice and good guitar work. A thumbs up from me
very nice instrumentation
I like this.
Liking this!! Kinda classic but modern... Tasty & mellow
creepy sexy voice.

And 1st comment.
