Contagion, I exhale you
Naive, I opened up to you
Venom and mania
Now, contagion, I exhale you
The deceiver says, he says
You belong to me
You don't wanna breathe the light of the others
Fear the light, fear the breath
Fear the others for eternity
But I hear them now, inhale the clarity
Hear the venom, the venom in
What you say inoculated
Bless this immunity
Bless this immunity
Bless this immunity
Exhale, expel
Recast my tale
Weave my allegorical elegy
Enumerate all that I'm to do
Calculating steps away from you
My own mitosis
Growing through division from mania
Exhale, expel
Recast my tale
Weave my allegorical elegy
Forfeit all control
You poison, you spectacle
Exorcise the spectacle
Exorcise the malady
Exorcise the disparate
Poison for eternity
Purge me and evacuate
The venom and the fear that binds me
Your veil now, lift away
I see you runnin'
Deceiver chased away
A long time comin'
Good sound 🔊 great for a Saturday afternoon here in the Republic of Ireland 🇮🇪 in a small catlic community 😂 called swords ⚔
I think it shows how much sonic authority Tool has claimed!
Cirque du Soleil should choreograph a performance to Tool.
That would be Totally Cool!!
Can't believe how old this is, again.
Only 6 years left until the next album!
It is because Maynard is so busy with A Perfect Circle and Puscifer.

Tool time…
YES!
Today, it is 4am. It happened again! What a way to start the day! Thanx RP!

Love the mix of this songs, with the forward guitars.
What a pleasant surprise hearing Maynard Keenan today...I still remember the videos to their earlier stuff. Such crazy warped images that can never be unseen, but well worth it.

This song and album have quite the visionary title by the way, given that it was released around August 2019…
Thanks for mentioning this, back on the releaseday I was trying to figure out what title and lyrics might refer to and was somewhat struggling. Nowadays... pretty straightforward
I agree!!!
Hell no. I bought my first Tool album back in 1996. Best consumed on a big sound system with good bass speakers, and the volume as high as you can bear..
I was sitting in camp at Bonnaroo 2006, some 45 min. from the security gate to enter the stage area. Tool was playing and I remember listening to the massive bass roll thru the campground thinking how loud it had to be at the main stage. We were pretty much straight back from the stage...but way back. Oh...I took your advice and turned the JBLs up.
So cool. But, what do these guys have against 4/4 time? 😜
Dude, they also hate E standard tuning! Such haters! ;p
Im a big TOOL fan (One might say an OGT) and I think Danny Carey's drumming is what saves this album
But at least we lived to hear a new album
Easy 9

This may not be what every Tool fan expected but with headphones on this is sonically very special.
Is this a new band? I never heard of Toot before. (the band, that is)

so happy to hear this on RP!! though I guess it is relegated to only the Rock Mix. . I always knew Bill was a secret Tool fan :)
I haven't heard this before but it's now on the main mix.
Like a swarm of mosquitos in my hearing aids.
What did you end up rating this? I give it a 9 based on Tool's radical departure from earlier work. I have handed out around 150 9's out of 2000 ratings.
Do they remind anyone else of Porcupine Tree?
But at least we lived to hear a new album

Me too. Back in 92, bought the first EP! ;)

Danny Carey leaves that to the mortal drummers, as Neil Peart did as well.
RIGHT? I had to do a double-take to make sure I was on RP!
Right? And I've only begun using the Rock Mix recently and boy am I happy about the selections he's giving us...and new Tool too!! Long Live RP and the RP Rock Mix!!
He said tool!!!
(At the time, was my 14y.o. daughters' favorite band....takes me back 15 years...)
Next time maybe Pneuma :)
Or how about some Perfect Circle?
That was my reaction as well.
