Much prefer the original. In fact I prefer most music played on RP over VH. A generous 5

The Kinks are great! This may have been filler,(dont know) on a pretty damn good album. Contracts and all. Bill can probably elaborate.
YEAH YOU

Cant Believe this album is from 1978.
Still sounds fresh

This was the album that introduced me to "hard rock" in the 70s. It was all downhill from there...
Clicked on the Amazon CD link: Amazon UK... 118 British Pounds (US165 Bucks!!!?)... that is before shipping and fondling... nope.
Man,he played that guitar so well🙏
RIP Eddie.
I always liked this version just a teensy-weensy bit better than the Kinks original version (I know that's sacrilege)

This is so baad.

He shouldn't have botherd, the original by The Kinks was so much better.
It's been a long time since I have heard this. Great tune. It stands the test of time unlike some of the later stuff...
For me Diver Down or Fair Warning were the last great albums for these guys...

Song 1 on their debut album.
Val Halen's sound was way ahead of their time.
The opening bars of 'Dance The Night Away'(from Van Halen II) blasting out in the tense closing scene of Argo when the hostages finally clear Iranian air space is a seminal movie moment.

I love their cover songs. This rocks better than the Kinks.
