Sweet emotion
Sweet emotion

Talk about things that nobody cares
Wearing other things that nobody wears
You're callin' my name, but I gotta make it clear
I can't say, baby, where I'll be in a year

Some sweat hog mama with a face like a gent
Said my get up and go must've got up and went
Well, I got good news: she's a real good liar
'Cause a backstage boogie set your pants on fire

Sweet emotion
Sweet emotion

I pulled into town in a police car
Your daddy said I took it just a little too far
You're tellin' other things, but your girlfriend lied
You can't catch me 'cause the rabbit done died
Yes it did

Standin' in the front just a-shakin' your ass
I take you backstage you can drink from my glass
I talk about something you can sure understand
'Cause a month on the road and I'll be eatin' from your hand

one of my childhood classic rock faves .  nice pick
Rap before rap was a thing?
Oh, why the hell not?
Rockin it on the Main Mix; good one, BillG! The neighbors got to enjoy this one too. And I'll call it a 9. Long Live RP!!

I'm guessing this song has recently been accepted to the playlist.  Classic Rock.  Played often on FM airwaves some decades ago.  Still has attitude and rocks out......

Made my comment above before Bill remarked about the attitude of this song.  Coincidence maybe?

This was the first album I remember buying.  I bought it from a friend.  I think it sat in her car and got too hot.   There was a distinct "wave" in the vinyl.

It still cranked!
the Smith Brothers were firing on all cylinders when they created this.   Peak cocaine and pre-heroin addiction days.

Well, including yours and this one, we're up to 6 now....
Only four comments??
Two great guitar riffs -- first in the verse, second just after.
One of the first "rap" tunes!  One of my faves as well.
Standing on the dock at Indian Cave Lodge late at night singing this aloud to no one in particular across Sunapee harbor whilst AFU back in the day. Oh yeah!
One of my favs of them! Especially that solo at the end.
