Yes! Thanks. Even though they were a fabrication, basically a boy band, they’re legendary. 
Imagine my surprise a few years ago when my little sister sends me a picture of her and Mary Travers, and a few other people, just sitting around shooting the breeze. WTF? apparently they were somewhat friends way back then.

unrelated, but related, I remember clearly the many times my mom looked at me and said that she was going drinking with Boozoo and Leona. Turns out that was Boozoo Chavis, the man that invented zydeco. Again, WTF?

Fascinating to hear this song and see that it came out in 1963, only one year after the Beatles and in the same year of the Stones preparing to take over the world with rock-and-roll music. You can imagine Peter, Paul, and Mary standing on stage perfectly still in their church clothes, harmonizing  ageless laments of folk music while Helter Skelter and Sympathy For The Devil were were coming down the pipe. There is an earnestness to 500 Miles that nevertheless still works on some level, thank goodness.
