It's alright
There comes a time
Got no patience to search
For peace of mind
Layin' low
Want to take it slow
No more hiding or
Disguising truths I've sold

Everyday it's something
Hits me all so cold
Find me sittin' by myself
No excuses, then I know

It's okay
Had a bad day
Hands are bruised from
Breaking rocks all day
Drained and blue
I bleed for you
You think it's funny, well
You're drowning in it too

Everyday it's something
Hits me all so cold
Find me sittin' by myself
No excuses, then I know

Yeah, it's fine
We'll walk down the line
Leave our rain, a cold
Trade for warm sunshine
You my friend
I will defend
And if we change, well I
Love you anyway

Everyday it's something
Hits me all so cold
Find me sittin' by myself
No excuses, then I know

Always dug the harmonies with these guys. Like some wicked barbershop quartet or something.
Ah thank you. Dark light at the end of a tunnel - need this.
Man, I miss this band. I saw the madeover version, and they're just not the same.

Ditto -- in a minor key.
Looks like this is a recent addition to RP's playlist.
Alice was a bright spot in music for me in the 90's.  Something brand new, not done before.  It hit the spot at first listen.
I've listened to this song many many times and loved the music (simple chords but perfect slow rock rhythm), and then I listened to the lyrics.  Raw and real.  I admit I ignored a band called Alice in Chains for the silly name.  Some kind of prejudice I guess.  This song transcends anything silly, non-musical, or boring.
I enjoy the tight vocal harmonies in this song.
