J’ai failli me noyer,

Personne me comprendra.

Translation:

Transferred from Baton Rouge, in the middle of the night,
I dreamed that we made love, I jumped from my bed.
It had been wet for forty days,
I almost drowned,

Swimming in this ocean with waves of steel.
I can not manage since I left you,
I am still in love,
I can not help myself.

I hear the bell ringing,
It's the phone again,
I'm looking for him through the labyrinth
From my little dark room.

I have to cut,
A car is waiting for me
To take me to the other side of the world,
To take me away from you.

I would like to tell you that I will forgive you,
But I'm still in love
I can not help myself.

And the wind whistles on the meadow,
I turn my back to the North.
I would rather not want to want.
But it's too late, much too late,
Because I'm still in love,
I can not help myself.

I'm going to Mexico,
At the end of the great desert.
Sleep with the scorpions, then drink my tequila.
Not far from the tavern, with girls at the bar,
I could scream all night,
Nobody will understand me.

I wish I could make believe that I am detached,
But, I'm still in love,
I can not help myself.

That's easy for you to say
Can’t understand a word. Like it very much 😂
Cape Enrage.....its a cool name and a coole place. Class 5 white water in the Bay of fundy - 4 times a day.
Alas, the fate of many fools in love. The man can't help it.

Great tune.
I love everything about this man!

This is great! I can see myself enjoying this with (quite) a few adult beverages...
I've been to a concert in 1991 in Italy. it was awesome! it's very skilled as a musician and very engaging

Sorry but he's not a Frenchman but a good old boy from Louisiana.

An French American adopted by the province of Québec !
More Zydeco!  Vive l'Acadie!
Sounds like a CCR song being played backwards but I like it!
That was lots of fun! Made me think my high school French was enough to follow along to!
There is only one thing worse than Country and Western music and that’s French Country and Western music. Yikes!!!!🤢
I do love Zachary Richard.  Honest Louisiana Cajun, authentic, warm and crisp Zeideco sound and then his fabulous voice.

I'm kinda liking this....somewhere between the 6 and 7 rate and then reading his Wiki page I decided to go w/ the 7.  More diverse music for us to listen to...thanks BnR!!

My 7's an 8 now, or should I say huit….Long Live RP!!
And I'm still trying to figure out a few of the words on this one.....not being fluent in French means it's even more difficult to make out the LA French he's singing....almost like understanding a Southerner speaking in English!!

Thanks! I googled him up as a result of your feedback and checked out more of his music.  Good stuff!
Un acadien ! Vive les cajuns !

You should try Breton bagpipe music... I found this perfectly agréable. Breton bagpipe music on the other hand, requires a boule in one hand and one's third glass of cider in the other in order to fully appreciate it.

Like it.
