Oh baby
Oh baby
You're having a bad dream
Here in my arms

Oh sugar
You came to me
Could all be a bad thing
Doing harm

Oh oh oh

Oh lover
You run from me
We move like a bad scene
Shot in the dark

Oh but please
Please wake me
For my love lies patiently
Please baby please
And my love life waits for me

Oh love
You came to me
Are you having a bad time
There in your home

Oh sugar
Give in to me
You're just having a bad dream
Of ringing alarms

Oh but please
Please shake me
My love sits patiently
Please baby please
And my love plays wait and see

Oh I'm on my knees
Yeah, I'm on my knees
I promise I'm clean
But my love life waits

You're already gone
Yeah, you're already gone
We are already home
My love life stumbles on

Oh baby
Lean into me
There's always a side door
Into the dark
Into the dark

This guy reminds me of Ian McCulloch. In a good way.

This has Yazoo coming out the Wazoo.

Was this actually used in Stranger Things, or is it just that same "very 80s" vibe?
Reminds me of Suicide (the band) in a good way.
Made me think of this (Which is better imho)

Nice!
This airline flies you straight into the future, one fine-looking future
Hearing a bit of old Echo & the Bunnymen. Diggin' it!

The album is stellar, highly recommended. There should be more of it on the playlist.

Totally agree - Bill? Perhaps "Other voices"
Sounds like OMD from the 80's

In fact I thought it was.

Just to echo numerous comments about this, but I love the variety of Radio Paradise.  My ears never get tired.  The music is so fresh and ever-changing.  Thank you, Bill and Rebecca.  You made 2021 great.

I agree this station and a couple if other stations have made me run from commercial radio with their SSDD

Yeah, just gonna echo some of the comments and praise LCD - their catalogue is littered with fantastic tracks
A poor man's Orchestral Manoueuvres. Listen to Architecture and Morality, their early masterpiece. Symphonic overwrought synth Pop has never been done better

Agree with the OMD comments - tbh it sounds so much like them that I came here to check why I didn't know it from listening to some of it back then...

voice is not quite there but the resemblence is.  a (later) US OMD?

A debt of gratitude is here owed to Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. A very big debt.
I'm a big fan of the music video, as well
2017… 🤨?! This sounds like it came straight out of a John Hughes movie 🍿!!
Anyone else think this is going to be "Rise" by Public Image Ltd every time it starts?
Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, anyone ?
Again a gem I would not know without Radio Paradise.  Thanks!
The longer the same sounds go on the lower the score slips.
What, it isn't over yet?  Oh my.

More LCDS please Bill! There are many great tracks

Indeed. No Brainer.
Lots of room when Bill deletes all Cougar, Crows, Cranberries, and Coldplay crap.

Is it only crap if it's alliterative?
Definitely could use more LCDS on RP!
A great night at the Hollywood Bowl on the tour for this album in 2018.  The Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs too.
I thought this was a New Order song I'd never heard before.

Next week I get subcutaneous earbuds so I can listen to RP 24/7.
Love it.  For my ears, it has a 1980's vibe.

PSD Soundsystem.
Not fond of electronica yet still & all I find this oddly satisfying.
Sounds like a 21st century O.M.D. to me. Which is okay with me.
Oh yes brother...
Anyone else hear "Love Lies Bleeding" or the Reading Rainbow theme song in the sparkly background noise to this song?
love it ...need more
First thing I’ve heard on RP in a long time that has made me want to buy some music.

If all songs sound as insignifiant as this one: please no.

Absolutely - really surprised I've not heard this at all until now...

Thanks for playing LCD soundsystem!  James Murphy is so talented.

New York, I Love You but You're Bringing Me Down is also a great song, worth adding.

Agree with first point, not the second - that song drives me nuts (and I'm from NY!)
 juicymouth wrote:

Not really - the first phrase has the same progression as "Rise" (I - IV - V - which is used in thousands of songs).  Other than the phrasing of the chords, it is quite different after that.
Had the volume turned down at first and thought I was hearing the opening to Sabre Dance.

This has so many elements I've come to despise yet, still & all, it's not bad.
