Talking like we used to do
It was always me and you
Shaping up and shipping out
Check me in and check me out
Do you like walking in the rain?
When you think of love, do you think of pain?
You can tell me what you see
I will choose what I believe
Hold on, darling
This body is yours,
This body is yours and mine
Well hold on, my darling
This mess was yours,
Now your mess is mine
Your mess is mine
See you in the marketplace
Walking 'round at 8am
Got 2 hours before my flight
Luck be on my side tonight
You’re the reason that I feel so strong
The reason that I’m hanging on
You know you gave me all the time
Oh, did I give enough of mine?
Hold on, darling
This body is yours,
This body is yours and mine
Well hold on, my darling
This mess was yours,
Now your mess is mine
Bring me to your house
Tell me sorry for the mess
Hey, I don’t mind
You’re talking in your sleep
Out of time
Well, you still make sense to me
Your mess is mine
Your mess is mine
This body’s yours and this body’s mine
Your mess is mine

Afraid to say it, as there are lots of haters out there for this tune, but I absolutely love it. No accounting for taste in either direction.

Wait, let me get my camera . . .
Lots of negative comments for what for me is a pleasant song. Is it amazing? Maybe not, but it was good enough to make me stop working to check out who the artist was.
you all have missed the real reference band for this guy… of mice and men… yeah I am not a fan of this overplayed genre
He's singing about changing baby's diaper?
Hot mess?
I think it is a song about his hair.

Indeed, I was pretty sure this must have been a M&S song before I looked. It's enjoyable but doesn't stand out from the average, and this similarity certainly doesn't help.

Surprised to hear this kind of cuttlefish bile on RP.

Who forgot to take their Metamucil?
This is 6 years old. I like the sound and my tapping feet do too, whatever the perceived 'musical value'
Trampoline

More Hipster Crap. Vaguely familiar on first encounter cause you've heard it before. Take this with theMumfords and the Lumineers and toss it with the used coffee grinds

You kids get off my lawn!

You beat me to it with this observation. Makes me want to vomit listening to this kind of bile.
another hipster contrivance. instantly recognized. instantly forgotten.
Great record. Reminds me of Boy & Bear (check out their 2011 LP 'Moonfire' if you like this).
This man sounds greedy. What is someone else's is now his.
I thought it was Mumford & Sons

You know you can only do that only once, don't you? Maybe it's better to wait for an 'even worse' song to be played. There are plenty of them.

I challenge you to name two of them. Just curious as to what might qualify in your book.

It's one of the delights of listening to Radio Paradise that you find the way to bring a light lovely newer song like this to us between songs from the 60's and 70's.

Apparently cuttlefish bile is an exotic delicacy in some circles, one would imagine it's particularly popular among the Cthulhu cults.  This song, however, seems more like standard fare to me - using most ingredients from that "contemporary new-folk" recipe.  It's pleasant enough; I've certainly heard worse.

You sure are awfully free with assessments of what other people hear and think.  Maybe you're misusing the word "you".
Haha- you sound like my Grandpa when I played Steele Dan...
Fiddle-faddle....

I think he's a bit more talented than the rest of those 'used coffee grinds'. This guy's got some good rhythm and can write a good pop tune.

I'm so happy to hear them here. My daughter introduced me to them a few years back and it's a band that has really grown on me. This whole album is pretty cool. Thanks RP {#Clap}
like his sound ... this is a great "driving down hwy 400" kinda song ..
I liked his first big hit Riptide, but figured him to be a one-hit wonder. Turns out he's written quite a few good radio-friendly songs and there's nothing wrong with that.
That's kind of nice. Folky upbeat wistful. But I've heard a lot like it. He reminds me of a half dozen others here on RP, but in way he's not distinctive enough to remind me who those others are.
