If you get out on the ocean
If you sail out on the sea
If you get up in the mountains
If you go climbing on trees
All through every emotion
When you know that they don't care
Darling, that's when I'm with you
Oh, I'll go with you anywhere

If you get up in a jet plane
Or down in a submarine
If you get on to the next train
To somewhere you've never been
If you wanna ride in a fast car
And feel the wind in your hair
Darling just look beside you
Oh, I'll go with you anywhere

Oh, and I will be with you
When the darkest winter comes
Oh, and I will be with you
To feel the California sun
Oh, and I will be with you
In the night time and when it's through
Oh, I'll go anywhere with you

If you get up in the hill side
If you ride out on the planes
If you go digging up dirt
If you go out dancing in the rain
If you go chasing them rainbows
Just to find that gold ain't there
Darling just look behind you
Oh I'll go with you anywhere

Oh, and I will be with you
When the darkest winter comes
Oh, and I will be with you
To feel the California sun
Oh, and I will be with you
In the night time and when it's through
Oh, I'll go anywhere with you

Yeah I'll go anywhere with you

Oh, and I will be with you
When the darkest winter comes
Oh, and I will be with you
To feel the California sun
Oh, and I will be with you
In the night time and when it's through
Oh, darling I swear I'll go anywhere with you

Oh I'll go anywhere with you
Oh I'll go anywhere with you
Oh I'll go anywhere with you
Oh I'll go anywhere with you

It's like fucking Ed Sheeran on helium. It might be the worst thing I've heard on RP. Special prize.

I've never taken helium before sex.  Does it lighten up the experience?  Or just change your pitch at climax?

PS - First time I've heard that Ed Sheeran was gay.
Not bad really.

Until he shtarts shinging.
I'm sorry, but these comments (mostly) have me rolling.

I love RP but am legitimately laughing at how much I hate this. And that's okay! Different strokes
Hmm. Wonder what it is about Passenger that brings out the asshole in so many RP listeners
A solid 1.
JEEZ LOUISE! ...I need to hear more tunes by him before commenting. ...I hate making negative comments!
I discovered him through RP (thanks Bill) and then went on to meet him several times in person, including at the Brook in Southampton (as shown on the Wikipedia page). He even showed me how to play 'The Last Unicorn'. Great live gigs. I would recommend starting with his early work. eg Wide Eyes, Blind Love. Very lean, very fragile, very simple, very poetic. Beautiful.

Awwwww. *sniff* Keep listening.  I'm sure you can find something else to whinge about ever so cleverly.

Not nice, but on point     Whoever is hitting this guy in the throat needs to stop!

Umm, Thom Yorke has him beat by miles.
Funny comments about his voice, but putting that aside, listen to his Hate Song. He's also quite entertaining on stage.

The last few seconds of this song sound a *lot* like the end of "Honky Tonk Women".

Thats funny :)
Thought this was Brett Dennen when it came on.
Wasn't sure about this kind of singing for awhile, but I've come around to it.
Was waiting for the mmm-bop

Exactly!
My recently (Sept 2017) departed uncle Fred, who I shared love of music with, loved Passenger.  Every time I hear a Passenger song, it brings back fond memories of Fred.

Why? Dunno, except he comes from Brighton. England, just like my neighbor.
They weren't passenger pigeons, silly, the last one was shot in 1900.

And the Non Sequitur Comment of the Year goes to...
Boring pop garbage
Hmmm. Did the James Blunt egg come first or this chicken?
solid band, vocals hint at autotuning, would not voluntarily play this.......
Lame
While I can see why other people might find his voice odd or off-putting, I just see it as different but still worth listening to. I don't know if that makes me more forgiving or less whiny; I guess that depends on your perspective.
He really ought to lighten up on the Helium....
Came here to rate song a rare "sucko-barfo" — discovered I had already done it.
Did this guy sing "I took a pill in Ibiza?" Sounds like him.......

yes, the voice keeps me from enjoying the song or rating it higher than 3. I hate men crying when they are singing...
Good to hear something new from Passenger... Thanks RP.

I really wish I could rate this an 8....and it really is his voice that keeps me at a 5.  Kind of reminds me how James Blunt (or Blount as it really is spelled) songs are 5s at best because of that silly vocal thing.

I couldn't agree more with myself...in fact I've dropped this track all the way down to 1-Sucko-barfo - it's a mean trick when a pop song is so close to being enjoyable and then the vocals ruin it (IMHO of course)

Still...LONG LIVE RP!!

I call BS on the name "Passenger."  This is Manchester Orchestra.  Can't fool me.

Me too! Like the sound, and voice! I saw Brett live, he is great!!
I just can't take this guy's voice. Sorry, sure he's a lovely bloke and all.

His voice is the absolute worst.
Alvin and the Chipmunks after puberty?
I like it,just a happy beat, solid 7

Exactly. And they (along with Paulo Nutini) are all full grown men but sound like fourteen year-olds who have breathed helium. Very unique.

I thought it was Paulo too. When Bill came on and said he had a distinctive voice I muttered "yeah, so distinctive I thought it was someone else..." {#Roflol}

I don't think it's the same guy, similar sound though.

I thought it may have been Tracy Chapman's younger sister.  The music sounds like something by Hootie & The Blowfish or Blues Traveler.
