Could you see the aisles of women?
Could you see them screaming and weeping?
Could you see the storm rising?
Could you see the guy who was driving?
Could you climb higher and higher?
Could you climb right over the top?
Why does a multi-millionaire
Fill up his home with priceless junk?

The wind is whistling
The wind is whistling
Through the house

Elvis are you out there somewhere
Looking like a happy man?
In the snow with Rosebud
And king of the mountain

Another Hollywood waitress
Is telling us shes having your baby
And theres a rumour that youre on ice
And you will rise again someday
And that theres a photograph
Where youre dancing on your grave

The wind is whistling
The wind is whistling
Through the house

Elvis are you out there somewhere
Looking like a happy man?
In the snow with Rosebud
And king of the mountain

The wind it blows
The wind it blows the door closed

Act 1 is a collection of songs from various albums, and the wind crescendos at the end of disc/act 1. Act 2 is side 2 from Hounds of Love, played in its entirety. I only learned this recently, after decades of addiction to that album... that side of the LP is a story about a woman shipwrecked alone at sea. So act/disc 2 of the live show begins with the shipwreck.

I heard an interview with Kate around the time of the tour. She said the first thing she did was find a drummer, because she sees the drummer as the heart of the band.

Oh - somehow I thought this was a old recording. I like it better than the studio version - she can push things a bit far. This is more rock and roll.

The whole live album has a lot of muscle to it.
I always think she's saying, "The wind is awesome (oar-some)".
Man the song is smokin live!!!
nice echo effect on vocals

A live song that is better than the original. 8
Unlike Madona - Kate Bush has not been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.

If it was up to RP listeners I suspect it would be the other way around.

never heard this one before, thanks Bill!{#Biggrin}
Really like this one.
Great stuff. But way too much play here.
This is an amazing live album. Wish like hell she would release a video of the show as I hear it had an amazing visual component. No surprise knowing how creative and original Kate Bush is. One of my favorite artists! {#Notworthy}

Some pretty great drumming on this track. Fine song overall.

One of my favorite rock quotes, this time from Robert Plant: "Anyone who says they haven't tinkered with the sound on their live album is not strictly telling the truth."

Through every nook and every cranny
The wind blew in on poor old Granny
Around her knees, into each ear
(And up nose as well, I fear)

All through the night the wind grew worse
It nearly made the vicar curse
The top had fallen off the steeple
Just missing him (and other people)

It blew on man, it blew on beast
It blew on nun, it blew on priest
It blew the wig off Auntie Fanny-
But most of all, it blew on Granny!

- Spike M.
Dreamed I met an Eskimo...

Darn. Wrong wind.

Er, what?  RP malfunctioned, you continued to listen, and now everyone else should be deprived because you didn't go listen to something else for a while?  Surely I'm misunderstanding.

On this day we found out that Spotify and Pandora joined algorithms and became sentient. Bill, the last human DJ, was labeled the resistance and terminated.

Thanks...  Back in biz.
After few hours of King of the Mountain, Kate, well deserved 8 !
But it could be worse: Could be the Beatles with their last song, even played once it sucks. Kate enjoys me for the x-th time now...

Bill just found out he lost his healthcare...
well i'm bushed, time to hit the sack kate
Loved it the first time, maybe the 2nd,3rd and 4th not so much. Gotta go Bill, don't worry I'll be back.
Groundhog Day ?

If anyone has Bills phone number give him a ring and say the needle is stuck!

Seems to be a bug in the broadcast software or something... RP has some extravagant sequences sometimes, but playing the same song 10x in a row wasn't on the menu yet...

Yes she has, I saw her live in San Francisco in 1978.
Oh Kate you just keep getting better and better.
Reading through the comments and song rating, it appears I am part of a very small minority who just doesn't get KB.
Just plain annoying IMO.
I saw this concert, and the visuals were equal to the music.   Once in a lifetime.

She performed live a few times in the UK last year. She's doing her own thing and I love it.

Bof ... boring !

The lyrics.  They appear to address Elvis Presley and his tacky, nouveau riche tastes.  OK...... which begs the question:  Why?  Why bother?

Thanks RP, for giving this new Kate lots of spins.
Nice to hear a more rockin' version than the studio take.

This made a huge difference for me, in that Kate dropped her vocal register from dentist's drill to normal.
She's back to being me favourite munchkin.
Adore
great band....drummer (Omar Hakim - Weather Report, Peter Gabriel, Sting, Bowie), guitarist from Peter Gabriel's band David Rhodes.
Once again just the right song for my mood, amazing, thank you!

I've put off buying this set as my wife wanted SOMETHING to get me for Christmas.  It had best be under the tree because this is truly epic.

Awesome.  This is on my Santa wish list!
My wife and I had 15 chrome tabs open for the Kate Bush ticket sale at 03:00 in the morning - USA time.  Our very first conversation when we met was...about Kate, back in 1989!   When Kate's tickets went on sale we had hits on 4 of the 15 tabs, we plugged in our US credit card to pay for our chosen show (which coincided with our anniversary) and....found out that one must pre-clear one's credit card to make an overseas purchase...UGGGH!   I'm sure I woke many of my neighbors with my screams of agony!

At least she's released this phenomenal album to commemorate her 2nd live run (ever).    Lesson learned when making a purchase overseas - prepare!

Thanks for always including Kate in your rotation, Bill, keep up the great, great work!
