What a piercing lyric!
This is so cool you don't even know, well maybe you do then. Sorry
The exact cadence of my first time SXSW...

There was music in the air that weekend... and a lilt in my step.
Almost awesome.  Needs a chorus or a better middle 8 or something.
Each and every time I hear this, I go back to Can's Mushroom Head...

I went to see this band in Berkeley a few months ago just because I heard their music here. They were great.

Just checked out that contrabass sarrusophone thinger on YouTube. Whiskey tango and foxtrot. You can have my share...

Ditto on both counts.  Reed instruments are not for me.
I'm starting with a 7, but it probably will go higher because every time I hear it, I like it increasingly.

Starts with my iPhone ring tone.

I checked out Hazmat Modine. Seriously great band from my town. Thanks for the recommendation.

I'll return the favor: check out Tuba Skinny, a fantastic band from NOLA that uses a lot of tuba too.

Fantastic.

BTW, on the picture several comments below, that is sousaphone (a kind of tuba). If you like that vibe, check out Hazmat Modine.

Got a little SRV going on in there.  I like it!
I'm getting a strong ZZ Top sorta vibe from this one.  My rating keeps going up every time I hear it.
The more I listen o them, the better I find them!{#Clap}
No idea about the lyrics, but this sounds to me very much like French creole.  These guys are from Guadeloupe islands.  Quite good!
Great mesye !

Well, he's not singing in English.  It's probably a Creole language, so it's "foreign" to you and me.

With a little—a wee one—detour into Junior Kimbrough's juke joint.
Bill said these guys are from Guadeloupe and New Orleans by way of Paris. They've got it going on...

orange-crate-type photo of the band
growing on me everyday!{#Bananasplit}
Bill often plays tracks of African guitarists from Niger. This almost sounds like one of them giving a crack at swamp boogie Agadez style.

Just goes to show you don't need a lot of musical pyrotechnics to create a great groove.
