Four steps in the morning,
Two steps in the day,
Three steps in the evening,
The darkness is a-blazing all the angels seats
And soldiers step to liberate
Ola e, ola e

I run out like a cheetah
Monkey's in the blood
What a piece of work this man
Who screams the name of love
But all his brothers, cousins, sisters, and others hear his fuss
Ola e, ola e

All night awake,
In the moonlight I'm with you
In the moonlight I'm with you brighter than gold

Born on the horizon,
Beaming through the sky
Someone's seen what none can dream,
But light calls it a lie
And all the sinners, saints and winners,
Just wait to walk on by
Ola e, ola e

The Brando's in the forest,
And Nancy's in the flood
The ? makes a pirouette
The gods cry from above
And all the rain keeps falling,
I'm bare-feet in the mud
Ola e, ola e

All night awake,
In the moonlight I'm with you
In the moonlight I'm with you brighter than gold

Ola e, ola e

Come northern lights of Norway
Come sunrise to the East
Come wicked witches of the west,
West-south time with a beat
And all the lions, riots and preachers come down into the street
Ola e, ola e

All night awake,
In the moonlight I'm with you
In the moonlight I'm with you brighter than
All night awake,
In the moonlight I'm with you
In the moonlight I'm with you brighter than gold

Not crazy about the song but "The Cat Empire" does remind me of my house.

that must be why i'm not a fan. i like the music surprise daily, too, but bouncy jazz world music is not my thing.

i find the cover art...chaotic, too.

Sorry to hear James Hennessy left the band after being sucked down a toilet trying to retrieve an Apple AirPod (according to Wikipedia 2019-04-16).

Not sure what to believe, though the thought of someone being sucked down a toilet for any reason is kinda funny....
A very infectious beat...

I hear velvet underground, especially lou reed style vocal delivery

It sounds more like David Lowery (Cracker) or Joel McCrae (Cake) to me.

I like. Didn't expect this to play here, which is exactly why I'm here.

Great Aussie band!

A Phish Wish.

7 -> 8.

If Phish had gotten into power-pop/salsa and found a slightly better singer, they would have sounded like this.

A band since '99? I discovered these cats on RP. Makes me wanna get back down to Melbourne, one of the grooviest places on Earth!
Another great find I've never heard before.
