When life is too much, roll with it, baby
Don't stop and lose your touch, oh no, baby
Hard times knocking on your door, I'll tell them you ain't there no more
Get on through it, roll with it, baby
Luck'll come and then slip away, you've gotta move, bring it back to stay

You just roll with it, baby, come on and just roll with it, baby
You and me, roll with it, baby, hang on and just roll with it, baby

The way that you love is good as money
I swear by stars above, sweet as honey
People think you're down and out, you show them what it's all about
You can make it, roll with it, baby
When this world turns its back on you,
hang in and do that sweet thing you do

You just roll with it, baby, you just roll with it, baby
Come on and just roll with it, baby, you and me, just roll with it, baby

Now there'll be a day you'll get there, baby, you'll hear the music
play, you'll dance, baby
You'll leave bad times way behind, nothing but good times on your mind
You can do it, roll with it, baby
Then you'll see life will be so nice, it's just a step up to paradise
You just roll with it, baby, you just roll with it, baby
You and me, just roll with it, baby, Come on and just roll with it, baby

If there were a break when this song wasn't played back then, it was probably filled with "Don't Worry, Be Happy" or "Simply Irresistible".

I'd be happy to hear either of those two tunes, or even something else from either Bob's song catalog.

It don't have to be arty to be good—Winwood showing his versatility as a musician.  Beatles did that all the time—few complained.  Nice, energetic , feel-good number.

Not sure there was a 5 min break from someone playing this song back in the day....

Heard it sooooooo many times I can't really appreciate it even 25 years later.

Winwood's 80's recordings (a/k/a "The Beer Years") are better left in the closet at this point.

Gimme some Spencer Davis "Keep On Running" instead.

For a Voice with as much SOUL as his - It would be a SIN not to do a song like this in 1988.
Yeah his Progressive Rock stuff is GREAT but open your musical taste anyone that doesn't like this song.
I thought this was a great album from SW. Always have, always will.

I love the diverse comments on this and all RP music!
Traffic: yes. Blind Faith: yes. This: no.
Blecch.  From the Miami Vice phase of his career.
Feels like it was made for commercials and all things plastic.  Not near the quality of anything from "Arc Of A Diver' album, or just about anything from Traffic either! {#Ask}
I think it was Rolling Stone that posed the question "When did Mr. Fantasy decide to become Mr. Entertainment?"
Seriously can't think of a Winwood-vocal song that I really like except Low Spark.
This song has always reminded me of Sledgehammer by Peter Gabriel... but not half as good, and a few years too late.
Blah.
i guess everybody has to be somewhere,...{#Sleep}
Love this song!
