Cruising around in my '65 Chevy Van is the memory this brings back...
One thing about Heart is their ability to write music that wasn't all screaming and hollering.
I absolutely LOVE this song!
The album cover gets a 10 for the memory of it. Always something interesting from Heart back then. Surprised how good it sounds today, how interesting the instrumentation was, and those irresistible melodic turns of theirs. Nice to hear it on RP.
Just love Heart--fond memories of that time.
And there it goes, deeply indeed: that unmistakable 70s vibe.

When this first came out 40 years ago (!), I pretty much wore this record out. I bought it after I saw them embarrass Jefferson Starship as their warm up act in the Houston Summit (now a mega church, disgustingly) and saw them several times afterword. Yet 'Annie got put away with all my other vinyl and I basically forgot about all the great bits of this album, outside the Classic Rock format staple, Magic Man. I may have to dig it out of the archives.

You can say that again, CJ. A lot of my musical "education" came from stations in upstate NY like WQBK 103.9 in Albany, WRPI 91.5 in Troy, and WOUR 96.9 in Utica. They in the 70s were outlets that played much of the stuff that Bill & Rebecca do now.
Wonder if anyone here remembers the "Hump Day Unusual Moment" on Wed. nights at 9 on 'QBK? Haha good times!
They don't make 'em like that anymore, except for a very few like Radio Woodstock 100.1 that are still keeping the faith and some of the college stations. And of course now, RP.

From a great year to listen to the radio, especially, late at night. Heart really had us by the ears, with those splendid voices, guitars that could rock softly or knock the walls down, killer bass that could plod or gallop along, and Led Zep-like percussion and arrangements...
Anyone not loving Heart needs to have their ears checked and possibly needs therapy or a class in music appreciation...my goodness people this is a solid 9 or 10...sheesh!
Dreamboat Annie takes you on a tough, rocking, rolling journey. This song is like the cool water spring at the end of the journey.
Such a great album. West coast Canada in the 70s.

An AMAZING album
Another excellent song from what I think is Heart's best album. A few songs were over played on the radio but fortunately this wasn't one of them!
Love this song - I turned up the volume.
A sweet song with sweet sentiments, but it does sound very much of its time, if not earlier. Pleasant enough.
It goes pretty deep.
