"Look mummy, there's an aeroplane up in the sky"

Did you see the frightened ones?
Did you hear the falling bombs?
Did you ever wonder why we had to run for shelter when the
promise of a brave new world unfurled beneath a clear blue
sky?

Did you see the frightened ones?
Did you hear the falling bombs?
The flames are all gone, but the pain lingers on.

Goodbye, blue sky
Goodbye, blue sky.
Goodbye.
Goodbye.
Goodbye.

Thanks, Bill, for letting it flow into "Empty Spaces" and "Young Lust"! Truly, one of the most incredible, comprehensive, and accessible real-life relatable works of art ever set to JAMMING MUSIC, and to me, it still brings a chill, as it did when released in December of '79.

Under hypnosis, I might have memories of listening to this when it was new, although at just shy of my 3rd bday, that's iffy at best.

Still, what you say about 1) BillG playing the 3 "tracks" together and 2) how relatable it is is right on.  Long Live RP!!

Haven't heard this is a long time. very nice.
I love Pink Floyd, but, I will agree, the 'Cool Factor' is what shot them to God status. Who was it, Johnny Rotten I think, who said he wore a 'Pink Floyd Sucks' T-Shirt. LMAO! That's great. "OMG, you're so uncool. You're not one of us".

Jeesh. We were all having a lovely day until a bunch of pretentious, dopey, depressing stoners showed up.
Which one is Pink?

LMAO!
Look mummy, there's a drone up in the sky...
I don't think I have heard this since I was obsessed with Floyd in High School.  I am still obsessed with Floyd, but The Wall eventually lost it's intrigue.  It seems that time may have healed that wound.
Thank you {#Clap}

Originality is not your strong suit.  Maybe you should try PSD for yourself.
Amazingly beautiful song but very sad, bordering depressive.
I need a dirty woman too! Maybe two or three,
This song stands well by itself, but to truly appreciate it, it has to heard in the context of the entire album. The low-raters and PSDers should give it a try.

(and did this track really escape the RP playlist until a year ago?!!)
thank god for the PSD button......

Lots of less obvious Floyd tunes. Superb.

Ha! didn't expect this PF tune! Thank goodness for Bill playing normally unplayed tracks here and there!
