If you can't understand
why a castle that's made out of sand
disappears overnight,
then there's no point me saying this love isn't right.

Unless you can believe
in a miracle
Unless you can believe.

If you can't understand
why some tears never dry all the time.
That's how rivers begin,
and the fateless line up to jump in

If you haven't found out,
there's a rumor that's going about
that love's come to stay,
but I wouldn't believe what they say -
no I wouldn't believe what they say

Unless you can believe
in a miracle
Unless you can believe
in a miracle
Unless you can believe
in a miracle
Unless you can believe.

Fly away on the wings of an angel
never touching the ground
Fly away with my heart in your hand
never making a sound.

If you can't understand
why a picture that's made out of cloud
dissolves when it rains
then try saying "I love you" out loud
then try saying "I love you" out loud

If you can believe
in a miracle
If you can believe
in a miracle
Unless you can believe
in a miracle
Unless you can believe.

Fly away on the wings of an angel
never touching the ground
Fly away with my heart in your hand
never making a sound.

If you can't understand
why a castle that's made out of sand
washes into the sea,
then try saying "this love's meant to be"
then try saying "this love's meant to be"

Oh wait, wasn't Spain Nazi already?

How on earth can you bring this in over such a wonderful song?
She has brilliant moments and then she has treacly moments like this. "Fly away on the wings of an angel"... Chrissie, you've done better.

Sorry, CHuLoYo I think your comments are untrue and unfair. Sure America has been responsible for its share of wickedness, but name me a country that hasn't got blood on its hands, historically. Not yours or mine that’s for sure. We all need to learn from history and try and do better in the future.

They are the least aware nation of world opinion outside of North Korea.

It's a funny country, simultaneously the most and least advanced first world nation depending what aspect you look at.

No, absolutely not.  Maybe the Japanese should apologize for attacking Pearl Harbor and killing hundreds of Americans without a formal declaration of war. The advocates of apologizing to the Japanese have forgotten the vast atrocities committed by the Japanese.  They refused to surrender and routinely slaughtered innocents.  So who were the terrorists?

Not sure how you connect the visit to Hiroshima with the lyrics.

Yes, an apology would be interesting and would probably infuriate American proponents of state-conducted 'terrorism'.

Now, should Obama apologize for the US-conducted fire bombing of Tokyo and other Japanese cities?  Allied fire bombing of Dresden and other German cities?

Very nice indeed.

Very Aimee Mann-ish.

Having heard Voices Carry for the first time in 20 years, I agree, the begining is uncanny.  Nostalgia!

What's the problem? Are you a hater, maybe? Live and let others live.

Glad has RP has added tracks from this new release.  A bit formulaic for Chrissie, but that's not a huge departure, and anyway this is good, though not the best I've heard from Stockholm.

Do upload the best songs. Please.

True.
Her voice is blue collar heaven. After a long day of work...love me some Chrissie...

You played a song yesterday I like off this album but I don't like this one very much
Pretty catchy stuff she's put out there; this one's even got a turn of bass that reminds me of Broken Bells' No Matter What You're Told.

My all time favorite female rocker! Saw her @ the Beacon back in November & she was AMAZING!  💛
Well-written and performed.
2nd best Female Rock vocalist of all time on my list....
Every time I hear this song I think it is Aimee Mann at first. Lovely song.
she s aging well. inspiring!
Love Chrissie , Pretenders, Love how her voice stands up today , but can bring me back to the eighties and a bit earlier.
  good, very very good
elegant, very elegant = 8
Thanks, Bill, for this addition (as always).

Surprisingly good stuff! Always been a big fan of her voice, and amazingly enough that mesmerizing dimension is still there.
This is very cool.
Yes.  Bill is a genius.

We all have our own opinions and with the greatest respect I disagree. I think this is the best album of 2014 by a country mile.

Indeed, it certainly is for me.
Occasionally I hear the lyrics and recognize the intended meaning. Of course, this is the expectation of the songwriter, but rock music slouches to its own beat and the words more often than not get lost in the music, if the composition is any good. This is not the writing of a romantic, rather that of someone who has experienced a lot of things that lead to the present. Tonight I recognized the gist of the song and it's not a dreamy love song. One must recognize that this is a seasoned and quite accomplished songwriter. And it sounds good.

What an INCREDIBLE and OUTSTANDING SUPER-ALBUM of lovable MRS. HYNDE!

More than 10 - DEFINITELY
Good song. First song I have ever liked with CH on vocals.

Yes, BillG, please keep this fine release in rotation! Best cover foto of the year!

Love Chrissie but this song isn't really doing it
I just read Johnny Rotten's autobiography. Chrissie started out destitute as a street urchin with the punks in England (and France) in the 70's. She was hard core. Interesting reading. She would hang out with the Sex pistols, Suzie and her Banshee's, Billy Idol and Adam Ant.
Not working for me at all.  Loved her in the old days.
Darn I just missed it.  Play it again :)

This I like!
