Lead singer Betty Jaeger's entrancing voice highlights this haunting song with epic undertones. As with many Betty and the Boy songs, the sheen of its well-polished musicality belies the emotional complexity of its meaty underbelly.

Oh sure, any excuse to say "meaty underbelly".  ; )

Her vocal styling has an icky, affected feeling to it.

Maybe icky is my thing. I enjoyed it.

Not a favorite of mine.  I appreciate the joy it brings to others.

Not need it!

Interesting how so many female vocalists adopt similar stylistic elements, Lorde, Ellie Goulding, ...
  A similar thing happened during/after the grunge with the Eddie Vedder style voice.
I suppose it could be chalked up to fashion, style, the sonic memories being tapped.

yawn. another helium voiced woman.
I am nuts about these guys!  Makes my day every time I hear them.
Emotional buildup is intense. Very well done.
Man, this is an irresistible melody, and it's artfully arranged.  I now walk with this tune in my head, and I'm thankful for it.  Hope to hear more, more, more of Betty and the Boy!{#Bananajam}
Nice tune - cool and unusual arrangement.

Man, the Bear's gonna be real pissed when he finds out Betty stole the Boy. What's with these unoriginal band names already?  Feels like an underserved market if you ask this entrepreneur.

Love the Philip Glassian business at the end.  Whole song is top notch.
