Oh, sweet thing
Zion doesn't love you
And Babylon don't love you
But you love everything
Oh, you saint
America don't love you
So I could never love you
In spite of everything

In the dark of this place
There's the glow of your face
There's the dust on the screen
Of this broken machine
And I can't help but feel
That I've made some mistake
But I let it go
Ya Hey
Ya Hey
Ya Hey

Through the fire and through the flames
(Ya hey, ya hey, Ut Deo, ya hey, ya hey)
You won't even say your name
(Ya hey, ya hey, Ut Deo, ya hey, ya hey)
Through the fire and through the flames
You won't even say your name
Only "I am that I am"
But who could ever live that way?
(Ya Hey [x2])
Ut Deo, Ya Hey
Ut Deo, Deo

[Verse 2:]
Oh, the motherland don't love you
The fatherland don't love you
So why love anything?
Oh, good God
The faithless they don't love you
The zealous hearts don't love you
And that's not gonna change

[Pre-Chorus:]
All the cameras and files
All the paranoid styles
All the tension and fear
Of a secret career
And I think in your heart
That you've seen the mistake
But you let it go
Ya Hey [x3]

[Chorus]

Outside the tents, on the festival grounds
As the air began to cool, and the sun went down
My soul swooned, as I faintly heard the sound
Of you spinning "Israelites"
Into "19th Nervous Breakdown"

[Chorus]

[Refrain:]
Through the fire and through the flames
You won't even say your name
Only "I am that I am"
But who could ever live that way?
(Ya Hey [x2])
Ut Deo, Ya Hey
Ut Deo, Deo

Is someone actually crying/whining like a baby on this song?  By design? By accident?

Its dreadful.
I like it all the more when reading the hate that it garnered 9 years ago.
i love it
Wow, surprised by the hate for this!  I loved this whole album when it came out, still love it.

think they should jettison all but the last verse and make a decent song...68 RKO homage? hahaha

I’m sorry but this is terrible. I’m surprised he is playing it.
Interesting, but not appealing...to me anyway.
Not their finest moment
This song (5:11) is about 2.5 minutes too long..

Love These Guys {#Mrgreen}
ON/OFF/MUTE
No - but if you saw a bad film that bored or annoyed you, I'd bet you'd say to yourself "god, that was a load of crap".
One doesn't necessarily have to appreciate everything they hear, just evaluate it on a personal level. Be mindful of what opinions are and their proximity to adjacent orifices.  In closing,  I do not recall any of those self made music critics releasing any mainstream music recently................
Awesome song! Keep up the good work RP!
I never heard anyone play the cat's tail before, hope I don't ever again either.
What a load of sh1t.
Damn, that's annoying.
I find this pretty interesting too.
Holy crap!!!  Beyond sucko-barfo!!!!!{#Sick}
Please spare us this crap...this sounds like monkeys on synthesizers, and that's giving monkeys a bad rap.
why would anyone want to listen to this?
Thanks Bill.

I've been reading about these guys but didn't quite know what to make of them.

I find this very interesting.

Once more, RP making the introduction.
Oh god no. What's with bands these days ruining songs with crappy little synth voices? (see also: Passion Pit)
