Waiting for you to come and see me
Waiting for you to come and see me
Where are you
My coochy, coochy, coochy, coochy, coo?

Come on to me and let me see you
Come on to me and let me see you
Where are you
My coochy, coochy, coochy, coochy, coo?

I've travelled all over
Seen ev'rything I wanted to see
Where are you,
My coochy, coochy, coochy, coochy, coo?

I've got ev'rything that I ever wanted
Done ev'rything I ever wanted to do
Where are you
My coochy, coochy, coochy, coochy, coo?

Oh, let me hear it!

I just love this.  No idea why.
If you ever get the chance to see Ray live, you will not be disappointed.  Awesome performer that doesn't translate as well in the studio.
Sends me running for PSD every time.
I'm a little hacked off that he played the venue 100 miles north of here... but it was a last-minute booking, I guess, because they gave about 72 hours' notice.
Yes - Ringo CAN write a great song
Great bonus track on Beaucoups of Blues , B-side for Ringo.

I just now noticed that!  How cool is that!

Ray has a lot of chutzpah to cover a Beatle's song, and have that same Beatle sing the background vocals on it.

Way to go, Ray!

Extremely cool!

Quite true, but Ray's been around almost as long as the Beatles. He doesn't kowtow to anyone.
Just saw him at Billy Joe Shaver's Birthday Celebration. Always good.

It's noteworthy when a poet/philosopher as formidable as Ray Wylie Hubbard covers your song. He has a great ability to weigh emotions against ideas, without getting hung up on either.
Hate it.

Thanks Bill!

Check out this album - it's GREAT
Priceless!
It was actually a B-Side for Ringo Starr - Beaucoups Of Blues - October, 1970

Yes that's Ringo doing background vocals

I was about to ask! Very cool.
This reminds me of a famous headline from a newspaper. When Newcastle United (soccer club, for those of you across the Pond) signed the Finnish striker Shefki Kuqi, a local newspaper ran the headline "Kuqi Kuqi coup". You can make a reasoned guess as to how the name Kuqi is pronounced in Finnish...

Well, I thought it was clever and funny,
