Check in, check in on your emotion.
Are you an angry one, or a feather?
Will you sink today, or let it float away?
It's your decision.
Oh, oh, no.

Back off, back off, I'm discontented.
I don't want to talk about it.
I can't put my finger on it.
It's the strangest thing, when you've tried most everything,
yet something's always missing.
Oh, oh, no.

Leave me alone, I'm going inwards.
I've got work to do disarming land mines.
If I hold it in, I'll just blow up again.
My trigger finger's itching.
Oh, oh, no.

Check in, check in on your emotion.
Are you an angry one, or a feather?
Will you sink today, or let it float away?
It's your decision.
Oh, oh, no.

You may not be the only one thinking that...with an average rating of 6.2....still...I call this a 6 and look forward to the next track ;-) LLRP!!
I'm just loving the playlist, Bill...keep 'em coming! {#Dancingbanana_2}

I want to like this band. The music's decent. But why does the lead singer always sound like he's unsure? That voice just grates.

The music captivated me from the start, but now I just read the lyrics for this song. As someone who lived through an abusive relationship and marriage, this song hits very close to home.

really like the arrangement on this
Oh dear.  This almost makes it in places but falls short of the mark for these ears.  Now PSD for these guys every time, sorry.
WHAT THE??
Is this music made by robots?
I love Cloud Cult but it's quite obviously not everyone's cup of tea. This song is definitely one of their 'worst' if you can't deal with shaky or odd vocals.
It's like Modest Mouse meets Muse.

All likes & dislikes are decisions -- either conscious or unconscious.  And as for eating dirt:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geophagy

My cousin used to eat dirt when we were little....

Thought it too!

Would be stunning....without the vocals. Too bad.

Indeed, his "singing" ruins every song he did.

Since first hearing Cloud Cult on RP, they have become a favorite of mine. Thanks for continuing to introduce your listeners to new music! Not sure why people comment on the singing. I think it's great, but then I'm a huge Neil Young fan, too!

Second that! except the Neil Young part.

Outstanding comment.

Agreed.  I am usually not bothered by vocals, but the singer's voice just irritates.
Great sounds! I would say the voice works and doesn't at the same time, which leads one to over-analyze and then be unsatisfied as a result...
{#Cheers}
Great lyrics. Point taken.

Impossible for me to hear this and not think of Swearengin.

That voice is annoying and doesn't fit at all with the music
Interesting

When I saw that this band had a new album coming out soon, I was dreading hearing it on RP... and here it is.  Just as bad as their other music.
You gotta give it a few tries.  Some bands aren't too sweet to the palette on first taste.

I like it! It actually caught my ear when the volume was down really low at work, and I'm exited to know that I'm one of the first people hearing it. Rock on, Cloud Cult.
I like them, too. It's the kind of music that makes you stop and listen while in the middle of doing something mundane like cleaning your room, or writing an e-mail.
I really like this group, but they can be hit or miss.  This song is a miss.

I'm glad to see a new CD out.  I greatly enjoyed their last one.
I think is good stuff, but if you don't like it, well then that's your decision.
