Then I looked it up. She's 52. She's been recording for 30 years. Oh.

BTW, she quits in disgust and exchanges pleasantries with Fred and Carrie's gardener, Sarah McLachlan.

 
Funny!  I was just telling a co-worker (Amy) about Aimee in Portlandia…..and as far as the "she's aged" comment....ain't it awful when you realize "boy I've aged too!" lol

I love Aimee and most of her work but sadly not this last album. The production grates on me - slick, shiny and for me, without substance.

You must not be familiar with Aimee's songs.  If there is a reason for her to be in pain, she finds it and then writes a song about it.

This song is kind of silly.  It seems to be suggesting that a "charmer" is able to take control of a girl's life.  Well what the hell?  If a woman is taken in by a "charmer" should she be blaming him, or herself?
