Hey
What's your name?
Don't worry
And don't be afraid
We won't hurt you

Hey
Lost your way?
Well don't worry
Just do as we say
And we won't hurt you

It's hard
The world can lead you so astray
It gets harder
It's hard just to keep the faith

Do you need a reminder?
Of the love that we gave you?
Don't worry

You're walking away
But we'll always be watching you

We'll always be watching you

Yeah, I use beyerdynamic  DT770Pro at home and at work. Really has made me hate Spotify.

FLAC ftw!

Nice sounding cans!!   I have a pair of DT880 600 ohm cans in my collection.  Also, outstanding with FLAC!
Worst song on an otherwise good album.

Recently, my work-place Bluetooth earbuds crapped out on me (well, intermintent cutting out of the left channel...rather annoying) and my better pair of BT earbuds only go for about 1 hour on a charge.

So I decided to pull out my AWESOME corded Bose over-the-ear phones, which nowadays feel like I'm a radar operator more than a music loving keyboard warrior.

I'm glad I brought these phones out though....this song in particular seems made for headphones, and these Bose suckers bump pretty good for a non-amplified pair.  Enough of a difference in sound quality that I bumped by 7 to a 9 just now.  And the FLAC kicks extra ass now too ;-)  Long Live RP!!

First time hearing this one. Swear to god, I thought I just heard the background vocalist sing, "But there'll always be more chicken."

Phil Collins would be proud.
This feels so good.
 I Don't Worry They Can Tineye Watch Me.
      In another place maybe I'd beg.
Could be that.   Or, perhaps, just another chalk mark for empiricism.

I don't hear that too much, but everyone hears different stuff.  However, since seemingly 75% of the songs on the RP playlist have some sort of "sounds like Pink Floyd" comment somewhere in their comment threads, maybe many people are hearing such things.

The background is quite Depeche Mode-ish, but the vocals are distinctive and disturbing. This song gives me the willies, which is a good thing. 9 from the disturbed Nottingham jury.
Quite like this- relaxing
has a bit of a pink floyd feel...

The NSA likes when I listen to this song, you can hear them humming in the background.

As Obama said to Zack Galifianakis in the most funny skit I have ever seen "no one is interested in your texts".  {#Lol}

My 11yo loves this guy. I'm proud that he likes more than the hit as well....

Add "Pictures of You" by the Cure tonight...
I love that grind at the end of the song. Very Depeche Modesque.

Yup -- one of the many perks of being an RP lover, you get to hear great artists before anyone else {#Cheers}

I like it...also heard one titled: "What do you Want" that caught my attention. I hope we hear it hear soon.
...okay, this is pretty cool:  far more intriguing musically than most of his music i've heard previously...
Ahhh, the Gotye I know & love most.
..caught Gotye's show 12.Oct here in FW/D..very strong & tons of percussion (even the synth stuff was usually struck by a mallet or whatnot)..appreciate him more after the show & getting some exposure there to his earlier stuff..

..interestingly, "Somebody That I Used to Know" was one of the briefer tunes in the show..not over-glamorized as you'd imagine a "hit" tune to be..played just about mid-set, fairly low key, & got it done then moved along..

..thought that was pretty cool, myself..
.....8 -> 9....VERY good album.....music for driving....ecologic...........
funky..eerie...unique :){#Bananapiano}

Time will tell I would say.  As far as I can see Somebody that I used to know is superior both musically and lyrically to the rest of his stuff which I would say is passable but not very interesting.  I'll be surprised to see anything else from him with as much substance.

I found 'Somebody' a bit hard to listen to at first... I was disappointed that he was making vacant pop music to sell records, when his stuff was usually so obscure and off the wall.

I still don't agree that it has more substance than any track on 'Drawing Blood', but I'm getting used to it, and if it means he finally gets a toe into the US market, then I'm all for it.
Hummm. So Peter Gabriel is followed by his spiritual successor. Nice one Bill.

So far I've only heard anyone outside of RP talking about Somebody That I Used To Know, which is disgraceful because this guy is NOT a one hit wonder.  Also, reports of his death have been greatly exaggerated.

Ya know, I have heard him a lot on the radio, and that stuff I hear there is a lot different from what I hear here, it's more mainstream on the radio, not as good.

Straight back to the days of Synthesizer Greatest! (if that means something in the US..)

I turned my kids onto him 4-5 years ago(Heart's a mess song and video).....they said meh!
Then 2-3 months ago one of my boys says.....check out this new guy Gotye..."Somebody that I used to know" song and video.
Some songs do it.....some songs don't.

That came to mind for me, too. No complaints. Talented artist.
