Any guitarists know what's on the pedalboard in this one, or care to speculate?
I don't see(hear) what everyone is touting as genius here. But I do laud him for being able to play with a mask on his face and bucket on head for a whole set.
Wearing a bucket on your head seems like the rock star equivalent of "I'm going with Jerk Store! Jerk Store's the line!!".  (Nice tune, though.)
It’s all about the tone in this one, for me.
Loving it on an autumn cool Sunday morning with my coffee in the garden,  headphones on whilst the rest of the house still slumbers.  Perfect.

MORE BUCKETHEAD! He is RP worthy. Check out his other recordings. And ENJOY....

Buckethead and Les Claypool!  Wahoo baby!
This fellow is awesome. You can pick from like 100,000 songs

He usually does use a KFC bucket.
Discography. Buckethead has released 30 regular solo albums, as well as 294 albums in the "Pikes Series", for 325 albums overall. Buckethead Pikes are mini-albums, with 294 of them released since 2011.

There is only  ONE TUNE by him on the RP PLAYLIST.  Please ADD MORE TUNES  Thank You!
GREAT!! EXCEPTIONAL!!  I never heard of him, prior to RP, now I really love this tune.  Thanx RP!
Holy Cow! The mix is perfection.

Holy buckets... This guy played for GunsN Roses for a short while. Guess the whole "not showing your face" persona (like Slash) fit right in...  ;-)

Wow, this is good!! Kind of like vertical ripples. At some points, it could almost be the soundtrack for a 1960s' spy film. Thank you R&B 😊

If you've ever heard an interview with him, you would know that this guy so much lives in another world that I sincerely doubt that he even knows what the KKK is.
the first minute and a half was interesting...
This is the first time I've heard Whitewash, it's actually quite pleasant for morning music when you're sipping coffee just waking up.
One of my all time favorite albums, along with Electric Tears

No worries. Different strokes for different folks. Makes the world go round. Otherwise it would all sound the same.

Touché, me too.

Public Service Announcement:  Yung Gravy, the Mashed Potatoes, and Buckethead are touring in 2020.

Really good white noise music for pulling detailed reports at work.

And coding in Python...agreed.
I think we need to hear a few more selections. I have checked some his other  instrumentals out and they are RP worthy.

Wow. Terrific musicianship.
But the music kind of goes nowhere and doesn't evoke much.
Once or twice is enough.

I looked up and thought I read the album name as "Coma" and thought "Dat's pretty accurate"

Really good white noise music for pulling detailed reports at work.

This exactly.  I can't take much.  But my brother loves him, so different strokes I guess.

Buckethead on RP ... FTW!!

Good to hear some Buckethead on RP and there are plenty more good tracks from "Mr Buckethead" in his cannon too. So hoping for a few more too.

Mr Tchaikovsky had cannons in his 1812 overture, Mr Pachelbel had a canon.

Thank you for the definition of muzak.

HA! That was awesome.

I second that. Haven't heard Buckethead for a looooong time. I shouldn't be surprised Bill found the boy...

Years later, I'm still amused by this passage on the official Story of Buckethead:

One night, after he got to be this tall, somebody threw a bucket of fried chicken into the coop. Try as he might, Buckethead couldn't put the chicken back together again. So he put the bucket on his head, picked up his guitar and ran to the cemetery.

I like it.  Very interesting.   I've heard of him plenty of times, but this may be the first time I've heard his music.
Well done indeed Bill to play a Buckethead track and there are plenty of other RP friendly tracks in his cannon too

Thank you for the definition of muzak.
So, Bill says he performs with a Kentucky Fried Chicken bucket on his head and a white mask over his face.  (In the Southland, that would be a little too closse to the KKK for my comfort.)  Whatever odd behaviors he may exhibit, his guitaring was superb.

edit:  Oh yeah!  I see it now!  Thanks for the "larger cover art" button!

Knowing him only for his short stint with Axl the nutjob, I had no idea he was capable of such subtlety. Nice.

I like the fact that he even freaked out Axl! He lived in a tent during the recording sessions, is completely his own bizarre character. And here Axl thought he was all bad and out there.
Buckethead on RP?? Very surprising! Also a surprising track!

The little I've heard from this band is good music
Heard the name before but never his music. Just reading his bio on Spotify and will have to investigate further. Like this a lot.

I'll be uploading some more Buckethead soon.  His music is too good to be unknown to RP.

This whole album is amazing.  Say what you want about Buckethead's stage persona, but he is so talented that it's hard to put words to it.
Nice {#Biggrin}
Love it.
great to hear buckethead on RP!

Ooh Buckethead! My first time to hear him on this station! I love his work with Bill Laswell....
