There was a time when we were cradled one on one
And now I find that all creation is undone
I'm throwing out all of these thoughts that are not mine
I'm building up you're coming down i'm losing time

And now i've found some solid ground
I thought i'd drowned but now i'm found
And on the lips of life I kiss
I find I'm here this place of bliss

It's better now you'll find that life is on your side
And you know of glory days the vibe you cannot hide
I'm giving you the chance to make it all alright
Baby come on walk with me I know the futures bright

When you dream of themes that drive you to feel insincere
Think again you know that all those feelings are just fear
When you're trilled by ego hits you think you're on a high
You should know deep down inside it never satisfies

I love this song!  Great to listen to in the car while driving down the highway at  high speed.  Thank you RP for turning me onto this song.

sounds a lot like Alpinestars. A band I first heard on Radio Paradise prolly 8 years ago. Awesome

Probably the best song on RP.

appreciation of this song is very different if you are blissed out as opposed to not. i can attest to that. really is interesting when thinking about the music you're listening to NOW.

Don't admonish me, but this is the first time I've heard this.  Wow.
I put this release-one of my favorites- into my CD player today.-Wouldn't play and couldn't get it out-eeerg!
As and older dude who came late to the syntax party these guys and this song knock my socks off . if it wasn't for RP I never would have heard them    and so many others            thanks
The more I hear this the greater the bliss!  Bumping it to a 9.

I don't know why, but when I read your comment, I immediately thought of INXS (maybe Full Moon, Dirty Hearts?) and started to hear the song as if it was being performed by Michael Hutchence and the boys from Down Under.
Nope.  Not liking that voice. Mousy, breathy, very juvenile.  Sincere though.

Who'd ask more?
There are some completely different sounding tracks with each one having a compelling attraction.  Message, Tower of power,Pride, Destiny, and Fever are my favs.. there is a rare Japanese release with a few extra tracks available, but I can't find anyone who will sell it.   Stefen wrote:

Kurt Cobain called, no wait, I mean that guy from Bush that wanted to sound like Curt Cobain called....
Hmmm... ambient?  I wouldn't put it in that category at all.  Turn it up and move to it!

Sounds like VAST.
And once again while listening to RP I say "why have I never heard this before?!"

Love it. And the Peter Murphy echo ... yes indeed.

Hey 1wolfy,  How's it?

If you like it, I probably like it too.  And that certaintly is the case with this song.

Please do upload more Syntax material for Bill's consideration.
Is this not Unkle? Thought it was up until now. Not a bad thing to be confused with. Solid 8 and likely to nudge up with the next listen.

We have to pay a Sin Tax on pretty much everything here and it doesn't feel nearly as good as this track.
Rare these days that a song makes me slide right down to my local EllPeeHut and look for an expensive CD labelled "RARE" but there ain't any to be had...  Syntax has it going on.
I'm rising above the clouds and sailing away with Syntax in a blissful way!!!!
Repetative, one chord wonder.  My golly it is addictive, as is the album.  8.4.

Fluke have done some great stuff - their remix of TalkTalk's "Natural History" was interesting.  Their work with Bjork is superb.
Sounds like Peter Murphy.
outstanding closing music as I carry large decorative steel tables and chairs in from the glorious sunlight, it was almost 60 degrees today, with steady caresses of soft wind and birdsong - delicious spring!
I absolutely love this song! I can relate. Wish it was on iTunes...
SO FINE

Great tune. Is this the extended version?

Generic and formulaic

Just exactly the mood I'm in on this beautiful spring Saturday afternoon.
Gads-I'm tripping and haven't even taken anything yet. Such a deal!

5>7 Made sense going from Nirvana to this. Also clearly wasn't in the mood for it last time. {#Wink}

I always thought this was Moby.

Makes a little more understandable imagery sense then

A mulatto, an albino
A mosquito, my libido
A denial! A denial!

It sounds like 'Fluke'. On the other hand, if you don't know what Fluke sounds like then I have been somewhat useless. Apologies.

Always enjoyed the sound of Syntax, it just gets me in a sorta different mood? Not sure I can explain but its good!
For me this song has a distinct indigenous peoples / shaman like vibe...I especially appreciate the the lyric... "And on the lips of life I kiss"
Solid indeed
Wow, I like this. I really like this. RP just cost me some more money kind of like this.
