Things are not the way they're meant to be
But if you find the key the rest will follow
In the air or drifting in the sea
But if it's meant to be don't feel the sorrow

When I float in motion silently
The words they say to me are hard to swallow
All the choices that are there for me
There is no door or key the earth is hollow

Sometimes, I see the clues, I hear the words
Maybe sometimes, I see the signs, I know the lines
And if, I come across another twist
Maybe I know, I hear the signs, I see the words

weird, because the solo guitar reminds me of "Wake Up" by Everybody Else

I glanced over and thought: Github? What?
@bill - "really into coding..." had me laughing out loud.
And played right after Joy Division's song. Sounds like they copped it from "Incubation" and just added lyrics. Not that I'm complaining.

Maybe so, but it hits a groove, so I give it an 8.

First time hearing. I like this. Kind of thing I wish Bill played a bit more of.

Funny thing is without looking I couldn't tell you if it was brand new, 2 years old, or 20. (Looks) Huh, 2009 you say. Must have missed it, glad I found it.

I can't stop my foot!
Woooohoooo, best solo ever!!!!

Great track! And apparently,,,, Wire have announced a new album, Mind Hive. Out January 24, 2020
However it was created, I love that driving bass. 9.
A lot of chatting going on here...so I just turned this up really loud!!!
Every time...I think it's Wire. And I really like the tune.
Taking it higher! From 7 to 8

I tried this with a video of a takeoff.  Good call!  Made me wish I was really on a flight.

EVERY time I think (and hope) it's Wire....but alas.  It is still a good tune!

But Githead has to be one of the worst names for an artist I've heard in quite some time.
Nice shoes.  I like this a lot today.  Firm 7 at least from dreary Bristol this morning.  Might get higher.

Good song. But a rip off of Joy Division "Incubation"

"Rip-off"?  It's annoying how often people in these comment threads are eager to throw around that term.  Other than this song having a different tempo and entirely different chord progression, there is a resemblance in the production sound to that song and several dozen others.  There were a lot of recording artists inspired by Joy Division though.
"Take Off" is an appropriate title: this thing just gets up and goes.
I instantly and immediatly heard the WIRE signature. Still one of my favorite bands of the 70's and 80's.
With '154' as their signature album, this is a good reminder of that great period.
Like it a lot!

Yes I find that too. Several times I hear a song from a new band to me and I go to YouTube to hear more from the same album and sure enough Bill and Rebecca played the best track.  Either that or I just happen to like what R & B like.

Good song. But a rip off of Joy Division "Incubation"
I really like this song.  It took me a while, but I finally realized what the guitar reminds me of — She Sells Sanctuary by The Cult
I think if my boys said they were thinking of calling their new band "Githead" I would probably say try something else.  I suppose it is better than something like The Butt Hole Surfers!

Huh. Thanks for the tip; I never thought to look.
OMG this song drives me insane! Too repetitive. The first gajillion times I heard it I really thought it was ok, now I hit mute every time I hear you play it.

I think it's the only song you play that I don't like! Seriously, I love you guys and the music you play. Just not this song. :)

I heard they have a new album out in 2014 - not heard anything from it on RP...thoughts anyone?  Bill?
Fantastic track..
Perfect - just like a great song should sound!

Well cool tune this - infact, damn good album. Thanks for the inter RP {#Jump}
Preceded by Joan Armatrading - so this is rather a let down.

Very cool tune and definitely has a strong Wire influence, in fact I thought at first it was a Wire song I somehow missed. {#Bananajam}

The music I like, that repetitive foundation is good. The name I'm not so sure about, it reminds of a child-like derogatory insult, like, 'you poo-head'. (Git being a common term, in the British Isles, for an unsavoury male rather than, say, the software world's  source code repository).
Is it better to give or to git?
