I can go one day without calling
Two days without bawling
Three days without missing
But a lifetime with no kissing you
That's something that I just can't do
I wish I could be there to share the moon
I got more back for the breaking
More callus for making
A lifetime for the aching
I got no need to run this battery down
I'm just trying to get the stains out
I wish I could be there to share the moon
Hey la la
I'm gonna love you 'til it hurts
I don't mind if I do
Hey la la
I'm gonna love you 'til it works
I got no mind to lose
There's one trash heap burning
Them fireflies are returning
Nightfall is softly chirping
One trailer light is staying on 'til dawn
I wonder who it's waiting on
I wish I could be there to share the moon
Hey la la
I'm gonna love you 'til it hurts
I don't mind if I do
Hey la la
I'm gonna love you 'til it works
I got no mind to lose

Indigo Smurfs.
Amy's voice has changed, Emily always sounds the same. I did a double take on who sang this song. I loved their first cd. Named our first dog Amy Ray......
Nice song and I like the album cover.
Woops, one post late
Boz Scaggs, Steve Miller I like it muchly.....
"one and one half wandering Jews, free to travel wherever they choose" P.S.
Don't want to be one of the trolls; these girls have earned their dues, just thought a similar groove.
I find it interesting that it is commented on, numerous times, that they are gay.  Who cares?  One's sexual identity or preference should NOT be a consideration with any sort of comment on their music.

I like the Indigos, they've got a great sound... but for some reason I tire of them a bit faster than most other artists.
Like every very good RnR band, they have the ability to change their sound, but you  realize its them, after you listen for a minute.

Until I just looked I always thought the same.  Great song. Josh Ritter would be a good segue...

Just saw them for the 3rd time recently, at Shakori Hills Music Fest. Lovely, just as good as at Lilith Fair in '97. Love some Indigos.

. Bogus. Those two smack of such inauthenticity. They are the Muzak of the folk world. Being gay doesn't confer credibility when you don't otherwise have any.

Have I made it clear that I don't care for them?

But do you like this song or not?

It's not your fault.

Is this some kind of bot Bill should be made aware of? As all it seems to be is mindless drivel, no one gives a shit about. Hopefully, it will decide to uninstall itself from the lonely, urin stained hotel room in Vegas. We can only hope.

Just saw them at The Pageant, St. Louis, 7/21 - Great show, aside from a brief technical glitch with Emily's mic. Awesome show, and very talented backing band, Shadow Boxers.
Share The Moon
Wow, I just scrolled down to look at older comments on this song, and I notice that you spend a lot of time in a hotel in Vegas, romeotuma.

Not a boy!
Very nice song and the brunette is so fascinating to watch in concert.

Thought it was Josh Rouse. Not a big Indigo Girls fan, but this is good. 7
First time I caught this from start to finish, and I must say that I LIKE IT WELL...  Indeed, sounds like the Indigo Girls hit a sweet spot with this effort!  Want to hear the other songs...  Good God, I confess that I also just LOVE that venerable Chevy truck on the cover art; an Apache, from the late50s, I think, standard with 283 small-block 8 and cast-iron everything; my Scoutmaster Mr. Turner drove one of those things and in the early 70s we marveled at its stately, studly sturdiness.  Like the Indigo Girls, those period pieces are still tooling around, and getting it done with fine style...  Rock it on, Bill and Becca and the gang at RP!

You are going to be waiting for a long time is you are waiting for a song to take your socks off.  Can't you do it yourself?  Any why should Bill be responsible for changing your socks?  It's that a little bit of a commute?  Do you really expect him to go from CA to whatever crack fueled delusion you live in?

"crack fuelled delusion you live in" made me spit beer at my computer...thanks for the laugh...:)

@siandbeth
I can imagine it's a bit slow for a tuesday afternoon, on the other side of the Planet (Erfurt Germany) the vibe is fine. I think Bob heard you though because he moved on to Porcupine Tree. That'll wake ya up =>
A keeper! Thanks.
It must be mid afternoon - Bill is trying to make me fall asleep at my desk! As much as I love this song, the whole playlist is very mellow, and soft, and wonderful but it's 3:24 and I'm still at work. Please motivate, I rely on your good graces
really enjoyed this one, thanks Bill
first time listen.....smoooth..i love lyrics i can relate to..."hey i'm gonna love u till it hurts,so don't mind if i do.....hey I'm gonna love u till it works... I've got no mind to lose'.......yep!
Back in fine shape Emily and Amy. Sounds like the Indigo Girls I know and love.

Was sitting in a restaurant in Pittsburgh for a late lunch today. Heard Concierto de Aranjuez, "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald," and some Radiohead all within about 15-20 minutes. Asked the waitress where the feed was coming from. Voila—your newest member!

Thought this song by the IGs was mesmerizing. Keep it the way it is, Bill. The nasty guy can find another feed.

Am really enjoying getting to know you, today.

the "girls" or the song?  .... and, since I am asking questions, just how many people ARE in your hotel room?  Is there room enough for one more?  I'll be in Vegas in February.
Very sweet.
Good choice!
these women have managed to speak to my soul for years and years
It's amazing to me they can still make new music this good at this stage in their already accomplished careers. Impressive!

They still put on a great live show as well, caught them last week and all the new and classic tunes were top notch{#Sunny}
I've heard a couple of other tracks from this CD, and I keep having to check to see who the artist is!  I think it's a bit of a departure for them, musically, but I like the direction they've taken.  Hope to hear lots more from this! {#Yes}
At the Honeycomb Hideout: "I'm a big lesbian and is need  BIG cereal with a BIG TASTE!"
sounds right by and/or to me.
A couple of Emory girls done good!!
