Oh, green fairy, what you've done to me?
I see Lucy in the sky telling me I'm high
I went out for some milk three days ago
I met Dalí in the street, he knocked me off my feet

Oh
Oh

Now, I start to see that all's not well
There's policemen in my bed telling me I'm dead
If only I could show them what I've seen
I'll have to take you down below where insects run the show

Sound and vision turning inside out
The lines make you look older then you're gone

And everyday I got someone bringing me down
I got the eyes of a madman I'm chasing round
How does it feel to live your life where nothing is real?
So just send me down the river

The neighbours say that I need locking up
Well, they wouldn't be a first to want me in a hearse
No one sleeps, for I am still awake
Pass me over La Fée Verte, I'll give you all a scare

Dogs in handbags, everyone's a star
You look behind your eyelids, then you're gone

And everyday I got someone bringing me down
I got the eyes of a madman I'm chasing round
How does it feel to live your life where nothing is real?
So just send me down the river
I'm not gonna wait for tomorrow
I just look back and wait for a sign
And I'm not gonna celebrate my freedom
So just send me down the river

Na-na na na
Na na na, na-na na na
Na na na na
Na na na na
Na-na na na
Na na na, na-na na na
Na na na na
Na na

And everyday I got someone bringing me down
I got the eyes of a madman I'm chasing round
How does it feel to live your life where nothing is real?
So just send me down the river

Oh
Oh
Oh
Oh

This song brings me down, dreary load of shit!
John,Paul,George, and Ringo they are not...trying to be
A poppy ethereal sound. I like it.
In a way this song reminds me of Crowded House...

Probably because we can hear "POP" music on the radio and most are not here for that.

It's all "Pop" music, more or less.

This album is great, probably wouldn't have known about this if not for RP.
Can't see why people are so down on this track {#Think}

The most irritating, dreary vocal piece of trash on the playlist.

Get a voice pal,you bore the arse off me.

Agreed. Everything I've heard off of this is annoying.

Just got this album. I like it!
Was in the right frame of mind, and — it really caught me good this time...got way on inside my head...and mesmerized me to singing along deliriously.  Good stuff!

There is a beverage called "absinthe", which has been legal in the US, for the past few years, but I don't think "true" absinthe, made from wormwood, is legal in the US.

I once had a most amazing "IPA" made with wormwood instead of hops (or maybe as an adjunct to the hops) which at first was a bit...erm...hard to swallow, but soon became delicious and I ended up having too many. If you're ever in Vancouver, BC...look up Storm Brewing. Very creative brewers. No harsh anise after taste, either.

I'm with you, this definitely has a dark kinda postmodern Beatles feel to it.

Yeah!   I agree - it would have been nice if they had all lived to see what they would do together now.

This must be the "psychedelia" portion of the program.  Wish I had some attitude-adjustment-ammunition so I could fall fully into this groove... {#Yes}
Reminds me of something from Hooverphonic.... don't know which song yet.
reminds of the "Ear Worm" description" for some reason.  Must be the french title

Have loved Kasabian from my first listen. Oddly enough, my first listen came courtesy of Bill {#Guitarist}. I am really liking the tracks from this album so far....

I am with you, never was found of this particular Beatles sound and this is so much worse...

The only way to get real absinthe is to buy it in Europe and even then the strength of the wormwood which gives absinthe its more psycho reactive properties varies.

Let me take you down
Cause I'm going to
Strawberry Fields
Nothing is real.....

You mean would he sound like a poor imitation of the Beatles, like this song does? No.

La Fee Verte....Sounds like an absinthe reference....Speaking of which, absinthe is again legal in the U.S.  It is quite an interresting buzz if one can get past the vile anise taste.

Sounds like heavy rotation material for me. Loving it. {#Bounce}

Funny, I thought the same thing. I could have sworn this was the Beatles.

bouncy, jaunty, kinda fun. what's not to like?

This voice, this song- doesn't match the power of the image~ which is pretty damn good!

I rarely comment on songs I hate but I really hate this song. Hate it so much that I have to tell the world.
The Green Fairy. I can't get that from the song lyrics, but wtf, it's a good song anyway. 8 from the Nottingham jury, and a claim for first comment.
