Any day can be the last day in your life
So make it an unforgettable time
Another sleepless night, and anxiety attacks
The doctor said you need some rest

But you're always on the run, tracing after a place to hide
You were born to your mum's shaking hands
The wolves are out tonight, and they're looking for a fight
As they run at the speed of light
It seems you're home again

Don't forget to breathe, while time is running out
On the clock tower, the window sky
Any day can be the last day in your life
So make it an unforgettable time

Around me blinking lights form a giant neon sign
You were born in the wrong wrong year
Your soul is freezing ice, but still they're asking for a slice
You had to feed those monster hearts
When you're home again

You feel you had enough, it's like the rising of the tide
You're a shadow just passing by
The wolves are out tonight and they're looking for a fight
And they run at the speed of light
It seems you're home again

I'm a big PT fan, SW fan, and enjoyed about half the tracks off of the first two Blackfield albums, but one thing I felt about both of those first two releases was a large case of sameness. Like 'em, but don't love 'em. That's also my first reaction to this featured track from album 3. It's ok, I could tell it was Blackfield, but it could have come from either of the first two albums. It;s good, but I hate to say it,  I'm not feeling much growth within the band.

Er, why?
It's not brilliant, but it's not crap either.

Going to see Blackfield tomorrow night in Portland!  So excited!
Turn it off, please!
Aviv's voice is much improved on the release.  A very nice progression from the band and better every time I listen to it.

I like this song but will have to hear more of the album before I make a judgement about Blackfield.
I think Wilson is one of the best composers/musicians out there right now.
Amazingly prolific.

You could say the same thing about anything in which Steven Wilson has been involved. But, inexplicably, Porcupine Tree et al remain incredibly popular on this station, so what the hell do I know? At least it provides some background noise that I can easily ignore while trying to get something accomplished at work.

Prior two albums were excellent. I'm not getting the best first impression of this song, but their other work had to grow on me.
Love Porcupine Tree.  Blackfield doesn't do anything for me.
Unbelievably boring and tacky
