Adds nothing to, nor improves upon, the original.  3
I always liked the original so much because it's a great song but also because it was a neat departure from Morphine's bass/sax heavy style (which I also like)
no. doesn't need to happen.
Laswell's kind of been growing on me, but then this pops up . . .

I'm inclined to agree... I would probably like it more if I hadn't heard the original first, and also if this one wasn't so darn peppy

Might prefer Greg's version on a trip through the supermarket...high on Percocet or Ecstasy...but otherwise, I don't think so.

And yes, zair99, "peppy" is just the right word.
Hey, I have an idea....let's murder a Morphine song...
No saxophone, there is a God.
the original is much better...

Ditto.  This is flat at its worst, misdirected at its best.

Love the Morphine version

WTH... Seriously.
Agree with those below. It is hard to be objective about this cover. The original is one of my favorites from Morphine.

My feelings exactly. I really appreciate & enjoy Greg Laswell, but the original version, & Morphine in general, have far too deep a pull on my soul for me to be objective about this cover.

not a punishment to listen to, but agreed....

I don't feel like I can give a fair assessment of this yet because I love Morphine's version too much.
