WOW!  This is one cool cover!

It is very different from the original, without as much umph, but that is actually good, because it makes the cover unique from the original... and if it is Paul Simon, it is gonna be good...

I can't help but think of Graceland...  love it...


A nice folky version about the history of apartheid. But it's missing the anger and protest about the reality - and brutality - of apartheid that Gabriel created.
Yes, no need for this version. At all. Period.

Hard to do that, but PG probably is not going to release it again, so good to have the story and song out again by a well-known artist, and maybe people will revisit the original to compare for themselves.

That's my take too.  PG's version is SO soulful and emotional, I can't accept this one...

yeah, I'll agree, Paul sounds like he's kind of board singing it.
Still a sweet song.  Good movie too if you get a chance to see it.
