Holding on for the day
You send me to go on the way
Takin' all the information
You've had it too long..

Makin' all the same mistakes
Lookin' past the hardening
Can't close the doors they're open wide
I don't remember why

In your room is not enough
When you're running on the rail track
Staring at the settled dust
When the time is coming real fast

Heartbeat
Can you relate? It's been so long
keeping you steady
Can you hear me when I call out for you to slow down -- Oh

Hard eyes always protecting
Can you steer me when I'm not listening
Only breathin' in way too fast
Way too fast

Stirring 'round and 'round the rooms
Hoping one change will move
Can't play if I stand to lose
Waitin' for the sky to fall
Pushin' hard against the wall
Runnin' faster than them all
While no one's chasing me

In control is not enough
When you're holdin' all the tears back
Distracted by the scenery
When you're runnin' on a memory

Heartbeat
Can you relate? It's been so long
keeping you steady
Can you hear me when I call out for you to slow down -- Oh

Hard eyes always protecting
Can you steer me when I'm not listening
Only breathin' in way too fast
Way too fast

In control is not enough
In control is not enough
In control is not enough

I'm hearing traces of Sam Phillips and Lucinda Williams in her voice.  I like it a lot!

Blah.  McGarrigle Sisters wanna be without any of the charm, humour, or edge.

Sounds a bit like a female Thom Yorke, though not as wimpish. Ok, pleasant enough, but leaves little memory of its passing through the ears. 6 from the Nottingham jury.

Weak. Sorry, but it is...

Ms. Desveaux sounds like she enjoys Catie Curtis's vocals - so do I.

It may not stand the test of time but where else would you hear this artist?  Only RP...
