Well I wish I could think of some cliché to mouth
To make our parting seem less sad
But if I told you lies or promised you the moon
The truth would come trickling from my eyes

So run honey run, and hide in the wind
And never stop to look inside your mind

And I wish I could wash all my weeping blues away
And watch them disappear on morning tide
But I seek after sword, after sounds of the sea
A charm forever round my mind

So run honey run, and hide in the wind
And never stop to look inside your mind

So run honey run, and hide in the wind
And never stop to look inside your mind

And I wish I could fly like a bat from a cave
From darkness of my ignorance to light
And forever live on the echoes of our love
And die like some star burning bright

So run honey run, hide in the wind
And never stop to look inside your mind

Huh? Doesn't sound like the Morcheeba I  use to know...

Cool!  I'm going to check that out.
...I thought I had heard this song before... skipped through it to get to the Judie Tzuke song. Would certainly appreciate more Judie Tzuke on RP
looking like cannibal on the wiki

Even without Skye, this song is pretty bad ass sounding, enough so to rate a 9, and better than the original maybe (though I haven't heard JM's version so I don't know for sure...) Long Live RP!!

It's an English singer named Bradley Burgess.

Yes, I agree it's missing Skye, but still a cool song.  Has some kind of medieval folkloric threads through it.

The turntable scratches are the only clue for me. Very distinctive style.

Totally agree. Was stunned to see them as the performer.

That is a woman I could marry for her voice alone. It just settles in my bones.

Yeah... maybe I haven't been listening to Morcheeba lately, but this song just doesn't seem to represent them well.
I dont want to hear this song every day, but once in a while it great.

If Gordon Lightfoot was in Morcheeba... hmmm... interesting.

Good stuff, haven't heard from Morcheeba in a few years...
is that john redfern?

I think the scratching makes it as well.
Excelent, morcheeba deserves a 10.

No Sky but the guy is sly

This album really sucks. A few of the songs are good, but they do the same song 3 times on the album, and, after all, Skye is Morcheeba and she is back on their new album (which I found disappointing)
wow so different from the morcheeba voice i loved. but i like it. where is skye?
{#Drummer}I'm liking this band more and more{#Dancingbanana_2}

Me too...surprised me that it was Morcheeba.. NICE. 7

I like this more every time I hear it.
I still rate the John Martyn version, but a good tune

I don't dislike it, but wow, this is so different from their earlier stuff.

I listened to the song without the knowledge this was Morcheeba, so I the song and I met without prejudices.

And I think I'll let it go this way. Sounds interesting.

Nice little place you live in. Stayed there for some hours years ago.... ;)

A bit folkey for Morcheeba, but an interesting experiment which IMO works well. The songs RP have played from this CD have nearly got me reaching for the plastic again. Curse you, RP - you've cost me a fortune! :)

It's Bradley Burgess, and the song is a cover of an old favorite by John Martyn.
I love Morcheeba but obviously have not kept up with it. Not their usual sound. Must hear more.

Hmm... I wonder who is their new vocalist...

After a break of several years, Morcheeba released their sixth studio album, Dive Deep in February 2008. On this album, the Godfrey brothers emphasised their role as producers creating a set of instrumental tracks entirely sung by a roster of guest performers - cult folk-rock singer Judie Tzuke, Norwegian singer-songwriter and former Jaga Jazzist collaborator Thomas Dybdahl, blues singer/guitarist Bradley Burgess, Korean-American rapper Cool Calm Pete, and French singer Manda.) Both Manda and Burgess toured with Morcheeba as lead singers on their 2008 tour.
