Very relaxing - yes, that chord sequence of Am G F is very common, still good though.
Little bit of 'Stairway to Heaven' in there on the outro.
love this!! thanks RP :)

He's talking about the song that followed, which it did this time also: The Charlatans' "Here Comes a Soul Saver".
Just love the album cover.{#Laughing} As a grandfather I have a soft place in my heart for happy babies.
cool

AFAIK, the good news is that calle01 is no longer an RP member...unless he's adopted a new username.

I'm thinking it was a little more than just the chord progression at the end there, with the slide solo over the top sounding a lot like the Zeppelin solo.

Yeah, this is exactly what i meant, and now after time i still can hear that slide there. Nice tune anyway.

Totally don't understand this comment at all.  If you don't like Bill's selections, why torture yourself here, simply listen to something else. Personally I dig nearly all of Bill's selections, but then that's why this is my favorite radio station of all time. :)
Both of their albums are pretty good, got a couple of duff tracks but overall great with a pair of quality headphones.

Are you being forced to listen?
Usually really dig slide guitar, not here. Feels over utilized.
Very nice!
Movie soundtrack deluxe.
Great music to work/study by.

I'm not sure how to rate this. Towards the end I realized I was struggling to stay awake at my desk. Either it was incredibly soothing/relaxing or boring.... Giving it a 7 for now, as it may just have been exhaustion from dealing with Winblows source code documentation (i.e. frustrating crap).

Windows, The Beast That Would Not Die.

I must admit, though, that MS has really screwed the pooch with Windows 8. (Microsoft once loved to call its major software efforts "bet-the-farm" projects but when you have near-monopolies in the OS and office suite spaces, you can bet the farm because you own the bank and the town to boot!) Perhaps it wasn't as bad as Vista but Win8 isn't going to slow the drift away from PCs.

Redmond might take 5% of the tablet market next year--up from 2% this year! But half the PCs shipped in 2014 will be tablets. To jack in one more metaphor: the ship has sailed, fellas, and you're stuck on the dock.

Sorry you had to deal with that job, Rich.
Very Hendrixian.

What is this? Instant 8.

Ditto... lovely ambling tune. Definitely a healthy Floyd influence
..imagine announcing this one back in 2009: "here's their new release "Newness" off the new album, uh, The New Album...er, i mean, um"..
Good rithm
Thought this was late 60's Pink Floyd.....pretty nice.
I'm hearing a lot of David Gilmour.  With the black stratocaster in the band name I guess that isn't surprising.

I've got this guy/band/whatever bookmarked on my "MySpace Sampling" pages.  You might enjoy a few more of the songs that are there.
Check out the title track, " Nights in Shining Karma."

"Your" scathing criticism of my scathing criticism was well received. Darn, it's hard to type and cover your ears at the same time!

Flowed so effortlessly from Kasabian, I didn't notice the song had changed.

I was listening to this in another room and I thought it was an obscure Jeff Beck tune, ...very nice.

I also bought the album from the band's site. I'm liking all of it. Makes for great ambiance when I'm working in the woodshop.{#Music}

I'm hearing some David Gilmour in there as well.

I have to say that right at the beginning I thought this was Marvin Gaye's Inner City Blues for more than a couple of seconds . . .
then it just wasn't.
Love this song...  Cool!
I've become obsessed with this song.  Downloaded and donated!

I downloaded the entire New Album from this site and it is great.  Highly recommended.

Well worth NZ $5 (about US/Cdn $3.50).

New to me - liking it  . . . 7 thus far
It sounds like someone has been studying Jeff Beck
Best 76 cents I've spent in a long time!

Timeless!  8 for now.
Free?  I just clicked to the site and download is $5 — might just be worth it, though.  Pretty cool music!

At the risk of being redundant...nice! I'm really digging this track...must find out more...

Nice
I really like this.
This reminds me of Chris Rea.
I think this whole slide thing has already been done by David Gilmour..

Nice!
The "New Album" is good, but besides "Newness", what really stands out is the 07:47 version of "Ode to a Rainy Day".

It's brilliant! {#Wink}

Strange, I uploaded this one & got an "added" (finally!!!) - when I uploaded it, I did a search & nothing by them had been uploaded...?

Hmmm..
I might have hurrahed too soon. I just looked at the song status and it's still saying "reviewing". I assumed it was mine since it went into rotation soon after I uploaded it. It's an interesting co-incidence  that the same song by a not-quite-mainstream artist got into LRC at the same time. Seems Warren has a good audience :-)

Congratulations - nice song!  I'll need to hear it a few more times, but I think it's going to stay on my "like" list for awhile.... {#Cheers}
well that is 5th gear & somewhat more about the limit ...sounds good......
Hurrah! My upload made the cut.
Looks like the album is a free download (donations accepted) from the artist's website.

No, it will remain "The New Album."  The next one will be "The Newer Album," then "The Newest Album."  After that, I dunno.

..mmmh I like it much...
...cool vocals...
Now that was really good!  Another new find for me on RP.
interesting back door way of getting from 'like a rolling stone' to 'all along the watchtower.'
 Zeito wrote:

No, there is an old metaphysical rule that states:

old(t) = new(t-1)

By the same token, "A newer album" always works for a while {#Angel}

If they put out another album will they rename this "The Old Album"?
