I don't see where they've rejected Ripe, so maybe they'd add it. I guess I was just a surprised when meantime (EP version) was dismissed. Has a good hook, interesting changes and an international feel, things that RP regularly plays. I guess I didn't submit Up Up Up, because, at the time, I couldn't decide if I should go with the EP or the Promo version.

RP rejected Meantime and Ceiling of Plankton last year. Given those rejections (and the fact that the latter is very similar to the EP version), I kinda think the only one they'd add is Go Out at Night or maybe Atlantic. Maybe they'd add the new recording if this song.

The entire album is streaming on NPR MUSIC....not sure if that goes beyond the release date or not.

GIVERS just signed with Glassnote records (the same label as Mumford & Sons). We will definitely hear more from them in 2011.
I saw them when they came to Austin last year. They are incredible live. So much energy! Tiffany Lamson is a great front person for the band.

I suspect opening Austin City Limits will grow there reputation.....though I think Austin is probably there 2nd biggest market (from what I've read, I've never seen them there).
I don't known anyone that's seen them that didn't like them and most seem fall in love.

Ceiling Of Plankton Same pro shot, but the sound mix isn't as good.
I love this band. They're fun, energetic and very tight. I can't think of another band that combines indie with afropop, cajun/zydeco and near boundless energy into fun infectious songs.

There's a lovely song called 'Ceiling Plankton' that they do, its very catchy and grows on you a fair bit, kinda like some strange sort of foot-tapping infection.

I could see the EP version more than the new version....for whatever reason, that version always reminded me a bit of early 70's Grateful Dead (even though it isn't like that...guess it's just the groove).
