I like the Eels.  I just spent the last few minutes trying to figure out if the band name came from the Mighty Boosh episode.  For the record, the band name predates the episode (sadly...it would have been cool if that was where it came from).

Not anywhere close to John Lennon.
The lyrics make me cringe. Very adolescent. 
Can't stand this song or any or their songs....or this group-please make it stop....I'm depressed enough. Anyone could get up and do what they do.... 
May be the best song on this album full of good songs.
