I've just seen a face,
I can't forget the time or place
Where we just met.
She's just the girl for me
And I want all the world to see
We've met, mm-mm-mm-m'mm-mm

Had it been another day
I might have looked the other way
And I'd have never been aware.
But as it is I'll dream of her
Tonight, di-di-di-di'n'di.

Falling, yes I am falling,
And she keeps calling
Me back again.

I have never known
The like of this, I've been alone
And I have missed things
And kept out of sight
But other girls were never quite
Like this, di-di-di-di'n'di.

Falling, yes I am falling,
And she keeps calling
Me back again.

Yeah!
Bup-a-lup-bup!

Falling, yes I am falling,
And she keeps calling
Me back again.

I've just seen a face,
I can't forget the time or place
Where we just met.
She's just the girl for me
And I want all the world to see
We've met, mm-mm-mm-di-di-di.

Falling, yes I am falling,
And she keeps calling
Me back again.

Falling, yes I am falling,
And she keeps calling
Me back again.

Oh, falling, yes I am falling,
And she keeps calling
Me back again.

Uh.....oh never mind. You're obviously joking.
Always nice to hear deeper Beatles tracks. This is a keeper.
Not many people can outdo the Beatles, but Holy Cole does a superb cover of this song that puts some "meow" into these lyrics....

Geez...these guys need to learn how to sing two part harmony.
Everybody in my homeless camp loves this song...
skiffle at it's finest
Anything by the Beatles is a pleasure despite the passage of time, so much has happened since, but they were of their time and nothing can change the impact they made on the pop scene.
Bupadupdup

They had just been recently turned on to pot by the inimitable Bob Dylan—hence the directional change in their lyrics.

I was surprised to read this comment but it is true according to web lore:

... it is  G O D L I K E

Rapid-fire rhyme that carries the epitome of romanticism ........ (deep sigh) ..... yep.  True Love.

gjr ftw! Excellent (obscure?!) movie, great line, and Hannah's delivery was hilarious! Oh, and this tune bops along nicely... {#Dance}
Little Gem here!
SO nice to hear! I include this on the list of fantastic lesser-known songs by The Beatles (relatively speaking, of course!) Without thinking about it too much, I'd definitely put "If I Needed Someone" (Rubber Soul) and "Rain" (single or B-side or something) on the list.

It's exactly like that.
The first glance lasts forever, or at least 40 years so far.

..i can attest to this happening, as well..& the dreaming of her tonight & the falling/keeps calling me back stuff..

This song is soooo good for the external acoustic meatus...

She even looks a bit like Paul.
Is it possible to give this another '10'!?  It certainly deserves at least two.

Songs like this one make you realize just how good the Beatles were.  Crossing into country music!  And there are only 150 more like this.

Whoa. I have had this melody tucked away in my memory since I was small, because of family obsessions with oldie stations, but I have never known what the heck the actual song/singer/words were until this moment. Weird, but cool. Thanks, RP!
This is where it seemed that they started to branch out!

I'll dance to this...

I've heard several bluegrass acts do this number - it works well.  I believe that was what Paul McCartney was going for when he composed it.  A lovely song.

I knew the Beatles did this, but I too, thought they were doing a remake on a bluegrass classic. Huh? Either way, what a fantastic song! 10
Genius!

I love this songwriting, it could have been written a hundred years before.

...or even 40 years afterwards, even with the skiffle influence. I honestly didn't suss this as the Beatles. They were certainly ahead of their time in the 60s. Still not my fave band by any stretch, but kudos to them for their innovation and invention.
