A fever of memories have held me awake, this night as well
Shadows from the past kept paying me a visit, they won't let go
I though I left them I thought I said farewell
A room with a view was all that I wanted, I had to go

Well my thoughts won't be confined
In my spinning mind
The radio leaks from the local store
Another sleepless night in room 54

The heat's turned up, my twisted sheets are entangling me
The elevator sighs and creaks, time's moving too slow
It all just happened before my eyes, but I couldn't see
A room with a view is all that I need, but where I don't know

Well my thoughts won't be confined
In my spinning mind
The radio leaks from the local store
Another sleepless night in room 54

Lalalala lala lalala...

Something’s wrong with RP. I’m suddenly hearing a 70s prog rock instrumental while this song played.

Hey!  My 3 year old has the same squeaky toy keyboard that Irya uses.  How cool is that.

It's a melodica, not a toy, though there are certainly toy instruments that sound similar.
Catchy, cute ear worm material.
..it's cool she's pointing the way to the Playground on that cover pic..i'm headed thattaway-!..also:  8!..
Wonderful!

I suggested to Bill a few years back that he introduce an 11 rating, but limit it to 1% of a user's total ratings. Nothing ever came of it :(

No wonder I like it so much! (We could use some Juliana Hatfield around RP )

I like this track - but it it seems like it's being played every day. What's the deal Bill?

It's great as part of a playlist.  Catchy.
As luck will have it, I have the good fortune to visit Stockholm in October
Any suggestions on a good music scene?

I hear Kirsty MacColl

Excellent to hear Irya's Playground on RP.  First heard their music when they were playing with Cirkus Cirkor at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in Nov '09.  If you like this music and Cirkus Cirkor comes through your area, I would recommend you jump at the opportunity to see it.

Catchy tune.  This is the third time I've heard it on RP, and it's definitely growing on me.  Thanks for this and all the other great music!

Irya's Playground has finally released their eponymous debut album!
(Byker Wall/Universal).
Irya Gmeyner and Pange Öberg are the driving force behind Irya’s Playground – they write, record and produce all the music. Together with the band members Erik Nilsson (Drums) and Jon Bergström (Guitar), who have been influential in the studio, a sound has been created, with musicians like Ebbot Lundberg, Conny Nimmersjö, Bebe Risenfors, Martin Hederos, Stefan Axelsen and Freddie Wadling. Irya’s Playgrounds music breathes the big city, with influences such as dub, punk, new wave and electro. The music is often pared down, but beneath the surface it bubbles with energy and attitude. Always with a fantastic voice in focus
