Whole thing will still go on without you
Something will still be there to move me
Coz my own thing is always to inspire you

One that I love I dream beside
One that I love I dream beside
One that I love is close as I can get
The one that I love I dream beside
One that I love I dream beside
Sometimes I can't remember
Sometimes I can't forget

Thole thing will still come down without you
It's nothing to do with all of you
But my own thing is only to protect you

One that I love I dream beside
One that I love I dream beside
One that I love is close as I can get
One that I love I dream beside
One that I love I dream beside
Sometimes I can't remember
Sometimes I can't forget

Each night in bed my dreams take me over

Whole world still goes round without you (over and over)

I would like to hang out with Peter and his Friends.  Sounds like a good time.  {#Hungry}
Again, as usual, as always, Peter nails it... a perfect 10.  Love it.

Yeah, that's the first thing I thought: "Those sheep are in danger!"

Hey Peter, the DoD just called. They want to use this song for "enhanced interrogation".

I''m not much of a Peter Gabriel fan but I found myself enjoying this.
Nice album cover.  Run for it, sheep!

Sometimes it's not so bad to break the cookie-cutter mold. All the same becomes stale pretty quickly.

Oh, I completely agree with that, but cookies in a new shape should still taste great and have you coming back for more.
"the one that I love I dream beside" is a beautiful and lucky thing, if you think about it. Also, this entire album is very interesting...

I think this is the fourth Peter Gabriel song I've heard on RP today...seems a bit much

If the average song is 4 minutes, that means 360ish songs per day (24 hours) on RP, so 4 PG songs is about .01% of the total songs....still to much?  :)

Seriously, first time hearing this and I really like it....always loved his voice (I know it is grating to others).
So SO

Love this. Gives me goosebumps!

Love Gabriel but this is too generic.

It's not a bad tune, but it is somewhat spiritless: as if a business like Old Navy© asked him to provide ambient shopping music.
Seems like there is a lot of distortion ?
Does not help...

Absolutely correct - The other track is "Burn You Up, Burn You Down".  I prefer that one of the two but, most Gabriel is good Gabriel!  Scored a '7'.

Of all the comments about this song, this is the one that really resonates. Gabriel's voice is always heavily processed, but the result gives me goosebumps too. The song itself, as others have said, is a big generic compared to his other work. But Gabriel's work is always above average (even for RP). 7.

This is like sucking in air after being underwater compared to THAT last Bowie song. You'd make a lousy torturer. {#Snooty}

Imagine how I, who does not like Gabriel feels about it!{#Lol}

Yet another previously unheard (by me) amazing track by one of my favorite artists.  I love it!  Thanks for the upload to whoever is responsible, and if you're not a fan of PG, get over yourself.  There are many other radio outlets that rarely play his music.  Better yet, upload some of YOUR favorite music, and if enough of us like it, you'll get to hear more of the music you DO like!

Well, the guy in Musical Box comes pretty darn close . . .

...this is from big blue ball, but it's not really a peter gabriel album per se, it's more of a realworld collaborative project on which he served as producer...the artist is mis-attributed on the RP playlist and you won't find it filed under peter gabriel in most record stores, as it wasn't released under his name...

...i haven't listened to it in a few months, but if memory serves me correctly he provides vocals on two tracks...

This is new to me...what CD is this from?
another CD I will have to add to my collection.  I can not get enough of Peter Gabriel.  Each record grows on you the more you listen.

I concur!  He's a richly talented artist...but  this isn't worth booking studio time for...or RP worthy for that matter.
The album cover reminds me of that deliciously weird British TV show "The Prisoner"

Album

The Prisoner
I like most of Peter Gabriel's stuff, but he is overplayed here

This is a bit of a nondescript track too

Thanks, Bill! This is why I love RP - i.e. constantly exposing new and new-old music. :-)

I didn't realize the album existed, but I do recall hearing another track from the album ("Burn you Up, Burn you Down") here on RP some time ago. Unfortunately, that track is only available if you purchase the whole album. I listened to the samples from the other tracks. Unfortunately, not that many grab me as much as the ones with Pete. :-(

I have loved Peter Gabriel's music from way back in Genesis days. I would have loved to see him in costume singing Watcher of the Skies. But of course he's one of those great artists that has matured while staying true to his vision - the sound (and costumes!) are different but that voice, always there! And such interesting partnerships over time.
His voice, one of a kind.........{#Meditate}
Nice!
