I heard this song in like 1994 on an NPR show about  "upcoming artists"

At that time I just moved out of my mom's house...and everything was going wrong...I moved into a place that was in a basement with rats, the "landlord" was a womanizer who I thought was same girl I saw when I signed the lease and it wasn't (beefcake landlord almost threw me out)

My Clique of friends at the time dumped me.

My beater chevette was falling apart...I leased a Ford Ranger pickup with no traction and almost wiped out. Not to mention I couldn't afford the $250/mo lease payment. I was that poor.

My job was a glorified telemarketing slot and I was stressing out to make unrealistic quotas.

My grandmother died

I think i'll give it a..2...to be nice. I think she was pretty good it just was bad karma or something..

Oh, this is interesting.  Voice is reminiscent of Kate Bush's; music reminds me somewhat of Richard Thompson's Crawl Back.
