She whispers, 'Please remember me
When I am gone from here'
She whispers, 'Please remember me
But not with tears

Remember I was always true
Remember that I always tried
Remember I loved only you
Remember me and smile
For it's better to forget
Than to remember me and cry'

Remember I loved only you
Remember me and smile
For it's better to forget
Than to remember me and cry'

Sad and Moody with amazing musical arrangement... It's what The Cure is all about.

I personally can't stand their happy songs like "Friday I'm in Love". Talk about Suko Barfo....

It would be like Leonard Cohen singing a Raffi Song.

{#Lol}
Allegedly there's a bootleg live version of Leonard Cohen doing a version of Raffi's "Brush Your Teeth" - but Leonard reworked it and titled it "Brush Your Teeth And Feel The Devil's Riding Crop".
The Cure is one of those bands you can only rate agsinst Cure songs. They earned that...
I am a huge Cure fan, always have been and always will be.    However ——- this is depressing even for them.

OK song, but one of their worst albums, after "The Top".
I think of myself as a Cure fan but this would be a candidate for worst Cure song for me. Definitely on the sucko end of the RP scale.
I really enjoy the dreamy feel of this song. It pulls my attention every time I hear it. I never minded The Cure but it's only since I've been listening to RP that I've noticed I actually have 'favorite' Cure songs! :)

What a tragic character - with nothing but stupid music for lonely kids!

Never understood "your" love-affair with the Cure!

Never understood "your" use of "quotes". Irony? Scare?

(Easyrider from)PORTUGAL - you are THE man!

From CSN to Cure...?

SACRILEG of the highest potence!

A clear NONONONO-GO, in other words!

TERRIBLE CHOICE! A CRIME NEARLY!

Incubus' out-of-character song "Aqueous Transmission" reminds me a lot of this. I guess each song is rather out-of-character for its band though, huh?
Oh my! A Cure tune that I am not annoyed by. Kinda like it actually. Go figure.

Yes, he does. What's it to you anyway?
It's a lovely song. In a Jude the Obscure Thomas Hardy lovelorn Tess d'Urberville fatalist trying not to shoot myself as the way to cure my broken heart kind of way.
These guys always crack me up.  Not sure why, but I get a big, big grin.  I suppose it's because I was a few years too old for the goth/angst combo.

So yeah, I remember them and smile.
Dreary and utterly sucko😖
Beautiful and sad.  Beautiful band.
Possibly the saddest song from The Cure. Even A Letter to Elise doens't wrench my guts like this one.{#Boohoo}   {#Cry}
Love the cure.  This isn't one of the 1st 25 songs I would like to hear though...  A 6 from me

{#Roflol} This song is sooooo good for the ears...

I like the comments Romeotuma, they are laconical - nothing superfluous.

Sure. Sometimes he says "we be dancing." Cut romeo some slack.
Good to hear a ballad from The Cure. Nice change of pace.

Nice!!
Nice to hear the Cure- especially something different than the usual.  GREAT LIVE SHOWS!!
Great to hear some Cure, but still think this is a weak song on the album. I think more listeners would prefer 'Want' or 'This is a lie'
It's like you open the treasure chest and instead of finding pure gold doubloons, you find gold foil wrapped chocolate coins. {#Sad} I guess that's not a total loss. "6" from a non-Cure fan.

This song is good for the ears...

...holding them in...
