My hopes are high but my eyes can't
Believe what they see,
Give me something to believe,
Gime me something to believe,
I got lucky in life and had plenty to eat and
I saw this world as one big pool of opportunity
But there's too much mind corruption,
Too littleremedy (or that's how it seems to me)
Yeah we need a moral education to
Set the young minds free...

So let us change what we can and
Accept what we can't
Impart some of the wisdom
From that tried and tested man
There'no harm in being wrong you know no,
In fact to me, it's common ground - yeah
So take that feather from you cap sir,
And pass that feather around...

My hopes are high but my eyes can't
Believe what they see,
Give me something to believe in,
Gime me something to believe,
My hopes are high but my eyes can't
Believe what they see
My hopes are high
Give me something,
Give me something to believe

I like this. It's very...pleasant.

This is what happens when Scots cross-breed with Italians.

I imagined the singer as a black woman.
Sounds like some good old fashioned Jimmy Cliff.
Played this track for a a Zimbabwean truck driver and he could not believe that Paolo was not a white South African.
PM is from Paisley Scotland, which may account for the strange accent, or not.
one gets the impression this gentleman has no teeth
  Love him...first time to hear Paolo Nutini on RP ...{#Clap}

I didn't realise he had been going so long.  He was brilliant on Jools Holland's Annual Hootenany programme on the BBC last year. {#Cool}

Danced to this on a Hostel Boat crossing Pahia Harbour NZ while porpoise were swimming alongside. Weirdly appropriate.
Never heard this one before.. interesting.
Nice!

This is why we love her.
I had forgotten what third generation Scots sounded like.........thanks for that Bill.

I feel the same way, but you said it so nicely.
Wonderful to hear Mr Nutini on RP - saw him live a couple of years ago. He's amazingly talented and wide ranging. Thank you RP!
Long time ago i heared this. Like it!
I'm a complete sucker for that penny whistle. Love it.

Relax Just Enjoy The Ride. One doesn't have to drive-drive-drive all the time. RP has excellent taste. One can't learn when they are fighting for control... PSD4U

Meh. A good looking bloke with a soulful-ish voice who fills a tee-shirt well with a wodge of record company cash to pay the producer and PR guys.

If you think he sounds like a gnarled old blues singer, then you really need to get out more.

Jeesh.

Is anyone else having trouble getting the playlist to appear. i'm using mozilla 4 beta and think it might be that....

LOL! Than IS a good t-shirt.
I do believe my wife would leave me for this guy.....every time he comes on she drools.
Here honey....here's a towel.

Paolo Nutini is just uncannily awesome.
I enjoy it - realy great - it touchs my soul - Greetings from the othe part of the pot ;-)
Yep, Paolo Nutini is a really good source of happymaking vibes.  I loves me my RadioParadise. If I could ever get out of this landlocked desert state, I'd move to someplace on a coast where there's fresh seafood, gorgeous sunsets, and, of course, RadioParadise.  Bill and Rebecca, you are my bestest friends, musically.{#Sunny}

Sounds "Sunny side up"...catchy 'lil tune.{#Whistle}{#Umbrella}
I just love this song. Reminds me a bit of my friend Shawn Snyder (check him out on Myspace or Facebook!), but mostly, it makes me smile, tap my foot, and think silly, happy thoughts. Hard to believe this kid is from Scotland - he's got such a versatile sound, he could be from Jamaica or Jersey.  I wish I had a rewind function - I'd play this song over and over to ward off depression and despair... {#Sunny}

Agreed! This has to be one of the more incongruous voice/vessel pairings ever.
i need to remember to get this.  who cares what he looks like, his music is fantastical!!!{#Dancingbanana}

Or perhaps it's George singing "Donald, where's your troosers?"

Oh, you just killed it for me!
Still can't figure out why someone would choose to sing in an old man's voice. If this is natural, he must have been very popular in school {#Tongue-out}
Love it!

I hope I can find his Cd here. Going to check that now...
High hopes he'll tour in Asia. Come to Beijing Mr Nutini!

This is him !  This is the guy !  I sent him a strangle-a-gram Thursday. It should
have gotten there by now ! For an extra $4 the US Mail is sending me a picture
confirming the kill.

YES!
Ok. This is cool. And cooler once dug in.

LOL I looked him up yesterday and almost fainted. I was expecting to see a picture of an 80 yr old man. Not at all. He's easy on the eyes and he's got an interesting sound.

On the other hand, aren't his good looks already leading his young fans toward this good music?

Yes, and  an incredible voice for such a young person!
