Tore open a package it was an empty box
No meaning to me just an empty box
Sender was a woman
Sender was a woman
She said she's sending me everything that I I I never gave her before
She said fill it up and send it back
Fill it up and send it back
So I send her back an empty box
A big mistake sent back an empty box
Half in the shadows half in the husky moonlight
And half insane just a sound
I crossed into a valley a valley so dark
That when I look back I can't see where I begin
I can't see my hands
I don't even know if my eyes are open
In the morning I was by the sea
And I swam out as far as I could swim
Until I was too tired to swim anymore
And then I floated and tried to get my strength back
And then an empty box came floating by
An empty box and I crawled inside
Half in the shadows half in the husky moonlight
And half insane just a sound in the night
Half in the shadows half in the husky moonlight
And half insane just a sound

Sax plus no electric guitar reminds me of Audience.
Love the baritone sax!!!!
One of my biggest regrets is missing a chance to see Morphine perform in the late 90s. Because I had to get up early for a meeting the next morning. Would love a do-over. Sigh.
Oh Morphine... one of my favorite RP discoveries. Absolutely unique style. Pity to know that Mark passed away

No.
Years without listening to this song. Those good memories are kicking back.

You've never heard Bueno or Thursday.  You would change your mind if you listened to more of their stuff.

C'est pas faux {#Lol}

That is correct. It's too bad Mark Sandman had to die. I think the music was really interesting and so different.

Yep. Many places in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. Knoydart comes immediately to mind, one night when I'd gone to its only (and excellent) pub but forgot to pack a torch, and quite literally could see nothing on a cloudy night. I had to navigate my way back to the B&B by sound alone. Spooky.

How was the beer? Or did you just drink whiskey?
Sounds like the Doors, and that's a good thing.

Is that a Double E-Flat Contrabass Sarusphone I hear playing down in the basement?

Is that what that is?  Cool sound.
Such an appropriate band name

This song is a great unique atmosphere

oh, that's gotta hurt...

Stingray is like ChickenMan, he's everywhere, he's everywhere. Unfortunately.
WTF - on two counts...
Hello RP-Listeners!

I wish all of you "MERRY CHRISTMAS",
wherever you are - whoever you wanna be!

Christmas is a sweet-naive tradition -
not a religious event!

I like it anyway!

Still - I hope Bill takes the chance
to rock the christmas-tree to pieces tonight!

"Happy Christmas
your "BAD SANTA",
aka STINGRAY
-from Cologne/Germany-
PS
Sermon of the day (promise: I'm serious):

The "Three Wise Men" - Melchior, Balthasar + Caspar
are buried in a golden sarcophage in"our" dome, the famous
"Cologne dome" - the third highest church-building
in the world - right in the very centre of town, next to the Rhine.
A gothic building of extra-class!

Yes.

They must have gone in the studio after a heavy dose of Valium...  I like this song...  it is very sedative...

Sort of like all your comments sound the same.

That's like saying all guitar-based songs sound the same. Morphine had a distinctive style and just like any band with a distinctive style, it becomes readily recognizable, and, of course, if one doesn't learn the bands style it would seem they sound alike. However, in reality they don't.
Have you ever been in a place so dark that you didn't know if your eyes were open?
