"Do a dance for me"
Baby, it is late still you pour me
A tall one, "Go on
Let the liquid take off what you're on
You've been down before"
Boy, not like this
I'm in quicksand
I am sinking fast
"Perfect," he laughed
"'Cause your other half
Has got himself a Devil's access

"Welcome to England," he said, "Welcome to my world
You better bring your own sun, sweet girl
You got to bring your own sun, now don't you forget
you bring your own sun, just enough for everyone"

Heels on, go on
Bang a Tango but do not get tangled
Who can stay strong
When they only give us lies to lean on?
When your heart explodes
Is it deathly cold?
You must let the colours violate the
Blackness, there is
A magic world parallel
So leave your daily hell

"Welcome to England," he said, "Welcome to my world"

It's not a question if I can
Fight by your side and withstand
Anything but, I forgot
Yhat you said, "Girl, if you come

You better bring your sun, sweet girl
You gotta bring your sun, now don't you forget
You bring your sun, just enough for everyone
For everyone

"Welcome to England"
Welcome to England

Sounds like Martin Barre on guitar in the background, the only thing that interested me on this one. 3
Well, if you mean an acquired taste, I totally agree :) 8 {#Arrowd}

Cruel! (to the cheese, that is.)

Just doesn't pass the smell test for me.  Each to his own.

So, that is why she appears to have gotten her eyes done (i.e., had plastic surgery)? {#Doh}
...vagisil girl....
Is that a larynx in her throat or a meat grinder??

What a perfect analogy for Tori on RP!

after what seemed like a nice set, this comes on, and down goes the volume to barely audible as this is barely tolerable.

Her voice is like butta!!!!

It seems I don't need to request songs since they're obviously reading my mind.

THAT is funny! I'm beginning to fear that the incredible talent Tori once displayed is fading. I saw her in concert a couple of years ago and it was nothing like the first tour. The music, song after song, had an uncomfortable sameness to it. To avid fans I'm sure this is heresy. I do hope she will amaze with another inspired piece of work, but I have my doubts.

Like what I've heard off the new disc so far. Tori's last few releases have been very hit-or-miss to me, but this one's shaping up to be pretty good...her best since "Scarlet's Walk". Still love her old stuff best ("Little Earthquakes" was one of my favorite releases from the 90's), but I like this, also.

Not so sure about the photoshopped album cover, though...

PLEASE STOP

Please Stop your whining, you sound like a broken record! We get it, you don't like Tori.
I just figured out what bothers me about this song. It's that when she sings " 'welcome to england ' he said.... 'you;ve got to bring you're own sun, sweet girl...' " she pronounces it like someone from the southern US is saying it: "brang your own sun, sweet gurl." I mean, I've heard her sing with an almost British accent; why doesn't she do that here when the words are supposed to be coming from a British guy? Her pronunciation makes the song sound kind of cheesy, I think.

PLEASE STOP
Love Tori.

More please.
Love hearing Tori on RP! Thanks ::wink wink:: {#Kiss}
I try to avoid snide, unhelpful comments, but this woman is the musical equivalent of a drama queen. There - I feel better already...

This new album is so much like her others that this comment surprises me.

LOL

her stuff all sounds the same to me. i could have sworn i'd heard this from her years ago. must be the phrasing...but i swear it's the melody and arrangment, too.

not a fan. and yeah, i hope we don't hear this every day since a new one's coming out. ugh.

And what was that?  I think I heard, yes!  A guitar!  Oh, it's gone now.  Oh well.

For a Tori Amos song, this is relatively unobnoxious.

This song is pretty easy to ignore....
